Description

Pretty detached cottage dating from the 1800's. Sleeps 5 people. The cottage has good sized, pretty and enclosed south facing gardens with a sunny aspect, great for barbecues or just sunbathing in peaceful surroundings.
There are stunning views overlooking the Mount's Bay and on towards the Lizard.
The interior is tastefully furnished with plenty of original artwork on the walls. There is off road parking in the drive next to the house.
There are two main reception rooms - one with a great wood-burner for winter evenings.
The kitchen is fully fitted with ample crockery and cooking equipment,, a dishwasher, washer/tumble dryer, and fridge freezer. Upstairs there is a bathroom with toilet, sink, bath and shower facilities, one double bedroom, one twin bedroom and a small single room. All the bedrooms enjoy spectacular views.. A travel cot is available on request.
A well-behaved dog is welcome. Short breaks in low season considered. Changeover day is Saturday.
The village of Sancreed is in the Lands End peninsular and so is only a few miles from the expansive surf beach of Sennen on the north coast of Cornwall, yet it is also close to the sheltered coves of Porthcurno, Lamorna and Mousehole on the south coast. The Minack Theatre and St Michaels Mount are both located a few miles away. The fishing port of Newlyn with its vibrant harbour is just three miles away whilst the thriving market towns of Penzance and St Just are close by. St Ives is only a short drive away and is famous for the large artist's community and sandy beaches. For trips further afield Lands End airport flies regularly to the Scilly Isles. The village of Sancreed is designated as an area of outstanding natural beauty making it a popular destination for walkers. The Holy Well, the Beacon, a stone circle and an Iron Age village are all within walking distance of the cottage. Guests enjoy the tranquillity of a cottage which is only a stone's throw from so many holiday activities.

We had a splendid time with our toddler and her grandparents.

We had a splendid time with our toddler and her grandparents. A very quiet house with plenty to see nearby. Excellent supplies and communication with the host. For anyone escaping the crowded Rowan’s and spots in South-west Cornwall definitely recommended!

An oasis of peace and countryside charm

By Mary & Family on 17-May-2024

This property is just wonderful - it''''s cosy, so comfortable, beautifully decorated and with all conveniences. The garden is lush and secluded, and was also secure for our wee dog. The views to the sea in the distance were fabulous, and the abundance of wildflowers around us was lovely. The house is situated in the countryside - BUT - is incredibly close to all the best places on the Lands End penninsula: Sennen and Porthcuno beaches, Mousehole, Penzance, St Michael''''s Mount, St Just - all just a very close drive (less than 20 minutes). You can enjoy these places and then get away from it all to the farmhouse. My only downside was having to come home to London afterwards! Can''''t sing enough praises - enjoy yourselves here!
