The safety of my guests is of upmost importance to me. In light of this, and in line with the latest Government direction, we can not have anyone staying at the barn till the 4th July but I am happy to take bookings for dates after the 4th July. If you have a booking and want to amend dates or get a refund on your deposit, I fully understand. I really look forward to seeing you all back at the Old Vicarage Barn and in the meantime please stay safe and take care.
You can always follow me on Facebook/instagram - Oldvicaragebarnyoulgrave as I keep taking pictures on my walks
A converted barn in the curtilage of a Grade II listed Old Vicarage.
2 night minimum stay are available at £100.00 per night.
Having rented many holiday cottages in the past I wanted to make the Old Vicarage Barn as comfortable as I could. The barn has a modern fitted kitchen with a range cooker and all the usual appliances included a small dishwasher. The Old Vicarage Barn is suitable for anyone that is happy with open plan living the kitchen and sitting room being together . On the mezzanine level you have an open plan bedroom. The bathroom is off the sitting room down two stairs. It has a slipper bath and separate shower. The whole of the barn has underfloor heating and the bedroom and bathroom have additional radiators for those winter months or for just drying the towels. There are two television in the barn, one in the main sitting area and the other in the bedroom. There is a wood burning stove for the winter months. Outside you have a choice of two seating areas. The first is next to the barn where there is a table and two chairs, whilst in the garden we have provided you with your own seating area under a pergola with a table and chairs and a bbq.
Youlgrave is a great location for walking and exploring what the Peak District has to offer. You can walk the Limestone Way, visit Chatsworth, Haddon Hall both being only a few miles away. Further afield you have Dove Dale, the Monsal Trail, Carsington Water, Eyam, Lady Bower, Castletown and this is just a few of your choices. Alternatively you may just feel like putting your feet up and enjoying a good book.
Youlgrave itself is a small village with three pubs, a Post Office, Peak Feast (selling bread and vegetarian foods and cakes) and we now have a fantastic village shop that sells most things and has a cafe.
