Little Swanley is a converted annexe to Swanley House offering self-contained self-catering accommodation, fitted to a high standard. There is a well-equipped kitchen / dining area at one end of a large living room, the other end being comfortably furnished as a lounge. The bedroom is double aspect, overlooking the orchard and paddock, occupied from time to time by Gloucester Old Spot pigs, alpacas & chickens. Swanley itself is a small hamlet comprising a handful of houses along a quiet country lane; set back from the A38, there is quick & easy access from Swanley to the M5 at either junction 13 (north for Cheltenham / Gloucester) or 14 (south for Bristol / Bath). Little Swanley offers the best of both worlds - proximity to cities for shopping or culture plus a rural location for a getaway break in the countryside. Local attractions include the historic Berkeley Castle, the birdwatchers' paradise at Slimbridge WWT & the tree-huggers heaven at Westonbirt Arboretum.

Very comfortable, lots of space

The apartment is very comfortable, with lots of space, and good facilities. Everything felt clean and well looked after. The location is a pleasant, bucolic, and serene, as well as ideally located (for our needs) between Gloucester and Bristol. The hosts were fantastic, always available and approachable. They let us take part in feeding the farmyard animals, which my children enjoyed thoroughly. Moreover, we left something behind when leaving, and the hosts very kindly posted it to us. We will definitely keep Little Swanley in mind when we return to the south west. Date of arrival - 27 October 2020

“A very large, stylish, comfortable apartment. Easily big enough for a family of four. Spotlessly clean, and the extra Covid cleaning measures greatly appreciated. All this, and a chance to feed some llamas!” Check in 2nd October 2020

Relaxing, peaceful, lovely scenery

“Jo’s place was relaxing, peaceful, lovely scenery, well presented and fun! Jo’s attention to detail, suggestions for things to do, thinking of what to do for a 1 year old was really appreciated. A perfect place for someone looking for a break from the routine and something a bit unique. Absolutely spotless with all cleaning equipment provided. Plenty of space for the family for the weekend, inside and out. Communications were instant and all questions answered. Great place to stay.” Check in 25th September 2020
