Appletree, the smaller of the two, is suitable for up to four people. It’s cosy, compact and very comfortable and has the most wonderful views from the lounge and kitchen. From here you can marvel at the early morning mists creeping through the valley and gaze across to St Austell in the south and Wadebridge in the north.
The cottage has two bedrooms – one double and one twin, a lounge area with twin sofas and a very well equipped and convenient kitchen/dining area which seats four. There is a lovely bathroom & WC with hand basin (and shaver point), heated towel rail, bath and shower over.
Appletree is accessed by the original granite steps from the barn and has wonderful views of open farmland and the Moor from the entrance as well as over the garden and beyond. There is a separate communal utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer.
Appletree is popular with returners and new guests alike. It is cosy and comfortable all year round and you’ll be captivated by the views. We’re sure you’ll love it and want to come back!

Wow! What a great week in an amazing location. Gerard & Linda were amazing hosts and we were greeted by both of them with some freshly baked scones, perfect! A fantastic basket of food when we arrived and some great info on the local and surrounding areas. We will no doubt be coming back and would recommend their place to anyone with kids as the garden is amazing. We loved our stay here and have spoken to all our friends about it. Muchos appreciated. One of the best properties we have stayed in

Great communication with very clear directions and key collection instructions sent before we arrived. Lovely scones and essentials were very welcome on arrival. Property was spotlessly clean and little extras such as fresh flowers and toiletries left made it one of the best properties we have stayed in. Thank you.

We had the most wonderful week in Gerard and Linda’s lovely cottage. It was sparkling clean and well equipped. Gerard and Linda spoiled us with some lovely personal touches, like freshly baked scones on arrival and homemade brownies on departure. The girls loved playing in their beautiful garden. A peaceful piece of paradise. The cottage is well located; Edens project, Padstow, Golitha Falls, Port Isaac, etc were all about 30mins drive away. Highly recommend this cottage.

Really tranquil setting with beautiful views from the cottage

Really tranquil setting with beautiful views from the cottage. Lots for family and children to do in the garden. We were welcomed with fresh bread, Cornish butter and milk and home made marmalade which is possibly the best I’ve tasted. Cottage was comfortable, clean and had lovely fresh flowers for that added extra. Not long after our arrival, Linda popped over with freshly baked scones with cream and strawberry jam. The weekend stay was so relaxing and we were super surprised to be presented with chocolate brownies when we checked out. We’ll definitely be telling our friends and family about the cottage and looking to stay there again. Thank you Linda and Gerard for a lovely stay.
A super place to stay

A super place to stay in a quaint Cornish village. A real home away from home. There was a warm welcome from Gerard and freshly baked scones from Linda. The lovely garden was a huge bonus with two young boys. The utility room - packed with outdoor games and dvds - was great too. We also really appreciated the extra touches - coffee, milk, butter. Would highly recommend.
