Beautiful cottage in an ideal location

By The Snow Family on 02-Aug-2019

We had such an amazing time in Spring Cottage. The cottage is absolutely beautiful and the attention to detail is phenomenal. The owners really do go the extra mile to ensure the stay is a very special one. The location is perfect too, so close to the centre of Bourton-On-The-Water, which is a lovely village. As a family we have visited the Cotswolds for the last 15 years and would definitely say this cottage trumps the rest... wonderful location, lovely garden, parking and above all the beautiful cottage itself. We would highly recommend Soring Cottage!

Big Cottage in a prime location with private parking off the main road. This Cottage has literally everything you need and more. There are clocks, mirrors and lights everywhere. Private back garden with loads of seating. Playground in the field out of the back gate as well as basketball nets and a huge area for cricket or football on the grass. Dogs stay at this Cottage but you would not know, it’s immaculate throughout. Beautiful walks to the village either along the road or along the footpath at the back. Whoever is due to stay here, you will not be disappointed. Listen out for the clock that chimes at 6am and 9am in the village. It actually plays a beautiful tune. You can hear it better from the back garden. Possibly does the tune at other times but they are the only times we heard. We had a lovely stay here and would definitely come back. Thank you Lynsey and Darren for letting us book with you.

Gorgeous house, great location.

By The Donelan Family on 07-Apr-2019

We thought the house was fab, beautifully decorated and well equipped. The location was ideal too. The owner was really thoughtful and provided a bed guard, high chair and stair gates for our children which was great. I honestly think the house is suitable for couples, multi generations and young families. I would definitely recommend and we would love to go back too.

Spring cottage is a lovely house to stay in . Immaculate , clean and in a great location . Bourton is such a beautiful village and lots to see and do on your doorstep . This is our second visit to Bourton and our second stay in one of Lynsey’s cottages , we stayed in jasmine cottage last year but came with our dog this year so stayed in spring cottage , Sky loved the huge garden and field that leads directly out from the back gate . Its home from home and everything you can think of is in the cottage ! Very cosy and homely . If you want to visit the Cotswolds I would urge you to stay in Bourton and in one of the two cottages Lynsey has . You will not be disappointed

Best staycation ever!

By John H on 18-Jul-2018

We decided to holiday in England this summer and it worked out perfectly for all of us (Grandparents, parents and teenagers). Spring Cottage was perfect for everything we needed. The cottage was immaculately clean and very well-equipped. The cottage also has a beautiful garden which we spent a lot of time relaxing in. The location was also ideal, plenty to do in the idyllic village of Bourton on the Water, but also within an easy commuting distance to many other wonderful places. To top it all off we had a week of wonderful weather, which if anything was too hot at times.

Spring Cottage Review

By Chris A on 05-Jun-2018

Lovely cottage that has been thoughtfully and considerately decorated. Fantastic location in Bourton on the water - Close enough to walk into centre of village and far enough away to be very peaceful and right opposite a great pub. We were impressed with the attention to detail in the cottage and would highly recommend this cottage

Picturesque, warm and cosy cottage

By Carol C on 09-Nov-2017

This was our 2nd stay at Spring Cottage. It was spotless and beautifully maintained. Lynsey was very helpful and was easy to contact. We will be booking this cottage again next year. It is opposite The Mouse Trap Inn which is a very friendly pub with the added advantage of good food. There are a host of coffee shops in the village which is an easy 3 minute walk from the cottage. There is space for 2 cars and a car park round the back with and Honesty Box.

A lovely Cotswolds break

By Fran S on 09-Apr-2017

Spring Cottage is a really special place to stay for a relaxing break. The cottage is beautifully decorated and fully equipped with everything you could need. We loved wandering into Bourton on the Water at the end of the day when others visitors had left... it made us feel like locals! We had lovely weather during our visit and made the most of the sunny terrace, sitting outside with cups of tea and the papers.....it felt like a million miles away from our busy London lifestyle. We highly recommend this cottage and would love to visit again. The Standring family

By Caz M on 19-Mar-2017

This was the first time I have ever stayed in a cottage; I needed a dog-friendly cottage that had lots of walks nearby. I spoke to Lynsey (the owner) who was lovely. Within a few days, I had booked the cottage for myself, my mum and two Westies. I was so looking forward to this little trip, and it did not disappoint. From arriving at the cottage to a beautiful, clean home, chocolates and a welcome pack. The welcome pack is full of information and places to go which was a great help. I picked my room (the attic) which has its own en-suite. I let the dogs out in the garden, following them to make sure it was secure and they couldn't get out anywhere. They could not as it is all fenced and safe. Tilly and Marley loved the garden it is massive, my garden isn't even half the size of this. It was great, being little dogs they had plenty of room to run around and enjoy the size. The house is beautiful with a cupboard full of DVDs and games to enjoy; even an X-Box is on hand. It is a perfect cottage to stay in. If you go outside and turn right, 2 minutes down the road, you arrive at the little village of Burton on the water. It is beautiful, stunning. I can just imagine what it is like at Christmas. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming and will happily talk to you about anything and offer places to go and visit. Lynsey checked in a few times to make sure everything was ok, which I thought was nice. We went into the village twice a day, it was never boring or dull, and we would find another little street that we hadn't been down. It was raining every day apart from the Friday, but it never dampened our spirits or the dogs, as we had a beautiful cottage to go home too. Every corner has a footpath, but sadly I didn't get to follow any of them due to rain and the very thick mud. We went out exploring every day to all the little villages but always came back to Burton. We were regulars in Bakery on the Water. The sourdough bread is out this world. All their food is out this world. I wish we had this in London. There is no way I could fault this beautiful cottage or Burton on the Water. I will be back again and I would recommend this to anyone with or without dogs looking for a relaxing break in a stunning little village.

Spring cottage is a stunning cottage only a few minutes walk from the town. It is well equipped, clean and perfect in every way. The owner is friendly and easy to book the property with. Beyond Excellent

By Margaret P on 17-Aug-2016

We have stayed in many cottages over the years but Spring Cottage is by far the best. The description is accurate, but the actual experience exceeded expectations. The cottage was absolutely spotless and equipped with everything you could possibly need, even the things that you usually forget to pack like dishwasher tablets were provided, together with a selection of games, dvds and books. We were lucky with the weather and able to enjoy the activities in Bourton village and the lovely buggy friendly walks, having a great pub lunch at Lower Slaughter. With 2 toddlers one of the best features of the cottage was the safe garden which has direct access to a playing field and lovely playground through the safe secure rear gate, with no roads to negotiate. Lynsey provided superb customer service and responded quickly and personably to all communications. The little extra touches she included made our stay very special. We would definitely stay here again and wholeheartedly recommend Spring Cottage to our friends.

Superb Cottage Great Location

By Paul L on 11-Jul-2016

We stayed in Lynsey and Darren's 2 bedroom cottage (Jasmine) last year which was superb having undergone a great renovation. Therefore we had very high expectations for Spring and we were not disappointed. The cottage has been renovated with great expertise retaining its Cotswold charm and warmth but with lots of modern features and has been tastefully decorated and is so clean. The location, as with Jasmine, is ideal just a short walk to the beautiful centre of Bourton-on-the-water but with the bonus of being situated in a quiet area of the town. Another bonus is the large garden which has a lovely patio and is totally enclosed and well maintained. Lynsey is always on hand to answer any queries and provide assistance and is always so helpful. We have no hesitation in recommending both Spring or Jasmine to anyone looking for a bit of luxury and a perfect location in the Cotswolds. We hope to return again.

Fabulous cottage in a lovely location

By Jane West on 16-Jun-2016

Spring Cottage is a really lovely cottage. The interior has been very sympathetically furnished and decorated, a character cottage with modern facilities, that suits couples or families alike. Everything is of a very high standard, spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The cottage has everything you could possibly need and more. The garden is really pretty and well furnished, it is a lovely garden if you want to eat outside. The location is just perfect it's only a few minutes walk from the centre of Bourton on the Water where there are plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs and cafes many of which are dog friendly. Thank you Lynsey for the extra special and homely touches you left us. We could quite happily live here! We can't wait to return later in the year for another relaxing holiday in beautiful Spring Cottage. It was everything and more than we expected, fabulous!!

5 Star Luxury

By Heather A on 24-May-2016

Wonderful cottage. Superbly equipped, lovely squashy leather sofas (I really want one of these), beautifully decorated, comfy, very comfy bed and pretty private garden. This cottage is better than my house. When can I move in? Also has a super location - far enough out to be quiet, but within a few minutes walk of the town. Handy pub serving good food opposite (best to book as very busy) and paper shop just a few metres down the road. The Bakery on the Water is a must for fresh croissants and coffee in the mornings. All in all fantastic holiday and wondering when I can take another.

Beautiful Cottage

By Barbara H on 17-Jan-2016

A really impressive cottage, cosy, very well maintained with a feel of real luxury. Lots of small details which made our stay very special. Fantastic location with lots of walks from the door and a lovely pub on the opposite side of the road. Very peaceful and quiet spot and only a couple of minutes walk to the village centre. Thank you Lynsey as you made our break so memorable and we hope to visit again. I cannot recommend Spring Cottage highly enough - you will not be disappointed!

Absolutely first class cottage and facilities

By David K on 04-Oct-2015

First class cottage where the owners have thought of everything to make a holiday here an absolute pleasure. The cottage itself is spotlessly clean and finished to an exceptional standard. There is everything you could wish for making Spring Cottage a home from home. Bourton itself has plenty to offer including many attractions, eateries and pubs. The owners are very accommodating and nothing seems to much trouble. Highly recommend this Cottage.

Jewel in the Crown of the Cotswolds

By Denise Harris on 09-Aug-2015

From the moment we arrived at the perfect village location we knew this was the cottage for us. Moments from the hustle and bustle of the centre of Bourton on the Water but once in the secluded rear garden you could be miles from anywhere. Attention to detail in this property is second to none and begins with the very thoughtful extras provided, milk, tea and coffee to get you started and a lovely bottle of wine for later. Not only immaculate and clean throughout but comfortable, cosy and welcoming. The extensive DVD library was especially welcome on a wet Sunday afternoon. If you choose to bring a dog then you will be spoilt for choice in Bourton for shops and eateries which welcome the whole family (inside as well as out) Altogether a perfect property in a perfect location.

First Class Holiday

By Lisa R on 29-Jul-2015

Spring cottage is just superb. The cleanliness is of the highest and all the fixtures and fittings were such good quality itcwas a pleasure staying there. Everything you could want is provided by the owners and we could not think of anything we were lacking for our weeks stay. The cottage is fantastically placed for bourton on the water, less than 5 minutes walk to the numerous shops and eating places, but you feel you are more rural as it is so peaceful. We have stayed in many self catering cottages and spring cottage is certainly one of the very best for the standard of the cottage and the owners who clearly care very much about their guests.

Fantastic Cottage for a Cotswold Break

By Mark Hockburn on 21-Jun-2015

We booked a 6 night break in the Spring Cottage. There were 4 of us staying - my wife and I together with her parents. The cottage was beautiful inside, extremely clean and very spacious. The loft room with en-suite was superb and meant both couples could have their own bathroom. The kitchen was well appointed and there was even a Tassimo coffee machine which was a nice touch. We ate out one night at the Mousetrap Pub which is opposite the cottage and one night at the Rose Tree restaurant in Bourton. This was a 5 minute walk from the cottage and was well worth it as the food was excellent. I would thoroughly recommend this cottage and we will definitely book it again when we return to the Cotswolds in the near future.

This cottage is warm, beautifully decorated and has every amenity you could need including a lovely garden for the dog to potter in. It really is a lovely place, very conveniently located for the town and the inn opposite. Winter evenings with the log burner on so cosy, and Lynsey had put Christmas decorations up for us! Just fabulous. (Would like to live there please!)

A super cottage

By Grandma on 08-Oct-2014

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this lovely cottage. The booking process was easy and straightforward and Lynsey is friendly and efficient and kept us well informed. The welcome pack which included wine and flowers gave an excellent first impression. The cottage is immaculately clean with good quality bedding and towels. The accommodation provided is well thought out with the en suite in the bedroom on the 2nd floor proving to be most useful. The owners have shown great attention to detail, with ample crockery and utensils etc and an excellent range of games ,D.V.Ds and guide books. The location is ideal, with plenty of attractions and walks nearby. The parking for two cars at the front and the play area just behind the back garden gate were appreciated. The well maintained garden is safe and secure with good facilities for eating out or just sitting! An ideal cottage for a family holiday. It suited us all from a 6 month old baby to 70 yearolds! Very highly recommended.

A gem of a cottage

By Jed on 20-Aug-2014

It is hard to find words to describe this beautifully renovated cottage and anyone staying here is in for a treat. We loved our short visit to Bourton, but our fabulous break would not have been the same had we not been staying at Spring Cottage. Every room was immaculate, beautifully decorated and furnished. Everything we needed was there - tea bags, coffee, dishwasher tablets, cloths, even boxes of tissues! Lynsey phoned me on our arrival date to say we could arrive earlier than the time specified, thoughtfully leaving us a bottle of wine and a bottle of milk. Bourton itself is lovely and we were only a 5 minutes stroll away from the village centre. We visited Birdland (an enjoyable afternoon) and had a lovely meal at L'Anatra on our last night. The Cooperative supermarket on Station Road is well stocked and there is also a Londis on the High Street. I would definitely recommend Spring Cotrage to anyone who wants a holiday in a beautiful cottage in a beautiful part of England.

Absolutely perfect in every way!

By Anonomous on 11-Aug-2014

Spring Cottage is the find of the year! A family break in a stunning cottage and with the the most picturesque village I have ever seen only 3 mins walk away, made our stay perfect. The cottage itself is modern but they have retained some natural oak features; making it very stylish and it has been done to the highest quality and design, you immediately feel at home, but a luxury one at that! From the china, the sofas to the bed linen you can tell Lynsey and her husband have wanted to create a special place to stay....and they have absolutely succeeded. The garden was immaculate and provided a fantastic outdoor space for our children 14 & 11 to enjoy and what feels like a secret gate at the bottom of the garden leading to a park and play area, even drew us all in to play frizbee! Everything was provided, even tea, coffee sugar, milk and a chilled bottle of wine! The bedrooms are beautifully decorated and created a calm feeling, perfect after sightseeing and touring the area. Games and dvds were aplenty and I'm pleased to say we didn't need any of them as the weather was so hot we were outside til bedtime. I cannot recommend this cottage enough, we will definitely be back to enjoy the cottage with either our friends or family. I have already told all my friends so get booked soon, you dont want to miss the opportunity to stay there..............just perfect!

Our 5 day ( 4 night) stay at Spring Cottage was amazing!. The cottage itself has been renovated to an exceptionally high standard with lots of attention paid to detail. The description given of the cottage was very good however, we thought it was even better than expected and would wholly recommend anyone to stay there, we shall certainly return! We found the cottage to be exceptionally clean, and the information book provided gave comprehensive details of all the appliances within the cottage and lots of ideas of places to go and things to do in the surrounding area. This was a very family friendly cottage which would appeal to families with small children as well as adults as the beautiful garden is safe and secure. This cottage is definitely worth 5 stars.

The beds are soooo comfortable I wanted to take it home!!!!!!! I could go on and on about this cottage because it was so lovely, we are coming back in the winter for the log fire!!!!! A little bit of heaven in the Cotswolds.

By Denise Philpotts on 10-Jul-2014

The photographs on the site do not show the character and the wow factor of this beautiful 5 star property. There is nothing to want for on any level. The decor is soft and relaxing as are the beds. we felt instantly chilled from the moment we arrived. The garden is beautiful and having access to the park at the end is an added bonus. The Mousetrap Inn is directly opposite and the food was very good. It only takes a few minutes to walk into the village, where there are an abundance of craft shops and tea rooms to browse. The owner Lynsey went out of her way to accommodate us , making sure we had everything we needed. Thank you Lynsey we cannot wait to return!
