Really cosy cottage couldnt fault anything. So well equipt lovely welcome touches would love to return in the summer.
We loved everything about our short stay in this charming and beautiful cottage. Everything has been thought of and it's a real home from home... it felt as though we were literally moving in to a new home! It's a beautiful location and cottage and if you're looking for a quiet stay in a beautiful New Forest cottage (but with all the mod cons) and love walks and the county then you'll be at home... literally! The hosts were also incredibly friendly and ensured all our needs were catered for. We'll be back for sure! :)

We have just returned from a fantastic trip in the New Forest, the cottage is small but it has everything we needed. We even baked!
Cosy living room with lots of information on new forest activities. Comfy beds in warm bedrooms and two family sized bathrooms.
The trip was a surprise for some of our party and they were thrilled with the cottage, the location and the availability of the forest card for discounts.
Thank you for letting others use your holiday home!

Thank you for the lovely review - chocolate brownies were requested at home as well !!! The cottage is ideally located to the village and to the open forest which is ideal for lovely walks and close to the pubs! Hope to see you back sometime in the future!

A truly lovely, comfortable cottage - you feel at home the minute you walk in the door. We only stayed for 3 nights, but we slept well and found the cottage to be very clean and well maintained. The location is superb - literally round the corner to the village centre with cycle hire, delicious fudge shop, tea rooms, 2 pubs and PONIES! Just walking around the village! Wonderful! Thoroughly recommend Burley and this cottage for a relaxing holiday in a wonderful part of the world.
Lovely Homely Cottage
By Lynn on 10-Aug-2018
Lovely homely cottage in a quiet location on the edge of Burley. I walked or ran on the local common everyday. The wild ponies were beautiful and they visited the town everyday. The post office / general store in Burley is friendly and useful. We used Waitrose in Ringwood for our main shop. We were received a thoughtful welcome gift of fresh bread, milk, eggs and even some cakes on arrival. Favourite days out included Lymington and Portsmouth (excellent shopping!) also Lyndhurst is lovely. The little cottage garden is a sun trap and there was everything you might need for a peaceful and relaxing week in the New Forest.
Perfect home and location 5/5 Stayed Jun 2018

Four day family break with our three teenage kids. Burley is well located in the New Forest, walking and biking trails immediately to hand (bike rental shop is 2 mins walk from the house) and Lymington and the lovely beach at Boscombe within 30 minutes. Andrea's house was spotlessly clean, had everything we needed and was very comfortable. Highly recommend.
And walk or drive over to The White Hart just outside town for an excellent meal and lovely beer garden!
Thank you Andrea for making our trip so special.

Wow! a real home from home
By Hayley T on 23-Oct-2017
What a fantastic little cottage. From the moment we arrived to the moment we left we could not have wished for a better place to stay in the New Forest. The cottage was immaculately clean, wonderfully decorated and fully equipped to cover all necessities. We loved all the extra touches, the welcome goodies, the supply of books and games, the super comfy bedding and the lovely garden. We have a 5 year old and 2 year old who also felt completely happy in this cottage. Such a great holiday home, fantastic location for exploring Burley and the wider area. From initial contact Andrea has been really helpful and friendly. We have stayed at a lot of cottages around the country, and some properties abroad through owners direct, and without a doubt this is the best we've ever found. Thank you!
Thanks Hayley for your lovely review - we try and make everyones stay as comfortable as possible and if we can provide anything, we are happy to add it! Glad you enjoyed the New Forest - hope to see you back one day
Great cottage in a really good location 5/5 Stayed Sep 2017
By Gordon H on 15-Sep-2017
The cottage was just as discribed ,every thing in the cottage was very welcoming and had a real homely feel it was well stocked with provisions for ourselves and our dog ,
The cottage was in a perfect location quiet but only a short walk to the village of Burley
im glad we picked this village as a tour of the New Forest showed it to be the best village
The only fault with the cottage was the foliage over the front gate I'm really tall and it was catching my head ( sharp rose thorns ) but my wife who is shorter had no such issues
So to sum up a home from home in a great location

Perfect cottage and location for weekend in the new forest 5/5 Stayed Feb 2017
By Emma W on 17-Feb-2017
We spent a long weekend in Burley at this fabulous cottage in early Feb for a girls weekend away to celebrate a friends 50th. The cottage is very pretty, very well decorated and furnished and comfortable. The extra treats that Andrea left us were very much appreciated and very kind. It was pouring with rain when we arrived on the Friday, so a pot of tea and the fresh homemade cake went down a treat! The kitchen is very well equipped. The cottage is situated down a quiet lane opposite Burley Manor, right in the centre of Burley, so perfect for lovely long walks and also cycle trails. There is a cycle hire shop in the village ,which was great for us and they were very helpful with advice for 4 ladies who had not cycled in years! We must have looked quite a funny sight,as we all left the shop cycling in a rather wobbly fashion. However, we had a fab afternoon following a cycle trail along a disused railway. Dinner at Burley Manor was a lovely treat on the Saturday and would thoroughly recommend. The area is full of lovely places to visit, and several good pubs in the village too. All in all a very good weekend away and would thoroughly recommend Craigwen cottage. Thankyou Andrea
Lovely cosy cottage in the heart of the New Forest
By Petra on 19-Aug-2016
We were lucky enough to have some lovely weather to enjoy the surroundings of this lovely cottage. The accommodation is surprisingly spacious with lovely gardens front and back. A lot of thought has gone into making the cottage tastefully decorated and everything is provided. It was lovely to see the ponies wandering up the quiet lane. We had a great stay and would love to come back. Many thanks for the thoughtful touches on arrival of home made cake , eggs and milk.

From start to finish this was a fantastic family holiday and Andrea could not have been more welcoming or hospitable. It was a lovely base from which to explore the New Forest. The cottage was beautifully equipped with absolutely everything one needed and the welcome groceries with the lemon drizzle cake was a lovely surprise.
The cleaning routine half way through our stay was excellent with new towels to see us through the second week. Our grandchildren loved meeting Andrea and her helper to whom many thanks are due.
