As you can imagine, there is plenty of space and privacy for large groups of people and the house itself retains all the character that you would expect from a historical country residence.

Burrs Farm stands independently and is surrounded by 20 acres of delightful farmland. Originally it was the Country Manor House of Chelmorton and so it beams with endless character.

Whether you are hoping for a relaxing countryside break or a place to host a party with friends, Burrs Farm can accommodate your every need all under one roof. You can sleep, dine, party, socialise and most importantly, make memories.

From the lively Footgolf to the charming Wendy house, from the warming fire pit to a satisfying soak in the hot tub - there's something for everyone to enjoy at Burrs Farm.

As you enter Burrs Farm, you will be greeted by a magnificent entrance hall which on the right leads you to the main lounge. You will notice the aura of Burrs Farm is warm and friendly and it won’t take you long to settle in and get comfortable. The lounge includes soft furnishings, lovely cushioned sofas and an original triple stoned fireplace. Its a perfect place to sit and relax after a long day out in the Peak District.

There is a second sitting room as you go through the dining room, which also includes a wonderful fireplace and works great as an area for younger members of the group. There is also a pool table and table football for fun and games during your stay.

As you might imagine, Burrs Farm has a lovely, large, open plan kitchen, which is the definite heart of the home. Of course, every country house needs a complimentary country kitchen. It has everything you could ever need to accommodate for large groups. We provide fridge/freezers, dishwashers, electric ovens and hobs, microwaves and washing machines and dryer.

Burrs Farm’s dining room is set up for 16 people, but there is an additional table available to enable you to comfortably dine with 18-20 people. There is also a log burner in the dining room, a feature that adds to that wonderful countryside aroma. Logs are provided for your convenience.

On the first floor at Burrs Farm you will be overwhelmed by the beautiful staircase that is central to the house. Either side are four large sized bedrooms that are very spacious and will ensure a night of comfort. Three of these bedrooms have their own private en suite shower rooms and the fourth bedroom has use of the family bathroom opposite.

The second staircase takes you to the top floor where there are a further three generously sized bedrooms. Two of these use the family bathroom on the first floor and the third has private en suite facilities.

The property can sleep up to 20 guests and if requested, there is a sofa bed available to use in the second living room. All bedrooms can be made into twin and or king sized doubles to offer rooms that can accommodate all different types of groups.

As you enter Burrs Farm along the private long track, you will see the country house standing proudly amongst the beautiful green scenery of hills and dales. The property has mesmerising views of the Peak District that you are sure to be in awe of.

There are patios that are perfect for summer BBQ’s and there is even a fire pit that you can use for the colder nights. There is also a playhouse and rope swing to entertain the children and through the garden gate is a Footgolf course, which you will have unlimited use of during your stay.

Burrs Farm is dog-friendly, however please be aware that there are horses and sheep in the surrounding fields so we would appreciate dogs to be kept under control to avoid any disturbance. A maximum of two dogs are allowed on site if pre-arranged and you will be expected to keep them only on the tiled floors in the kitchen and utility room during your stay.

All beds shall be made up on your arrival and we provide fresh towels and complimentary hand soap and shower gel to make you feel extra welcome upon arrival.
