Sleeps 18 in old world comfort with a wood burner and real fire in the large lounge rooms and the bonus of a heated indoor pool, nestled in an area of outstanding natural beauty just in from The Jurassic Coast World Heritage Site. Chideock is a small village in West Dorset on the main coast road between Bridport and Lyme Regis, a short walk from the sea and lying centrally within Lyme Bay. Park Farmhouse is a large, detached, Grade II listed farmhouse, built in the 18th century on the main thoroughfare of Chideock village, just two doors down from The George pub. We are only a mile inland from the quiet pebble beach at Seatown with The Anchor pub overlooking the sea. Just above is The Golden Cap, the highest point on the South Coast of England. To the rear of the house is an enclosed and mainly lawned, walled garden with patio, garden furniture and barbecue . There is an Indoor heated swimming pool (28’ x 14’ x 4’ deep with shower-room suite) banked with French windows overlooking the garden and the suntrap patio. There is a Games room for table tennis and ample parking at the back of the property for up to 8 vehicles. The house is very homely and cosy, recently renovated and offering spacious accommodation. Entrance hall, drawing room with open fire; on the other side of the small hall, living room with woodburner, TV/DVD. Dining room with doors to kitchen and living room. Very well equipped fitted kitchen (dishwasher, microwave, gas range-style double oven/7-ring cooker, smaller breakfast table, fridge - long, easy to work in. Utility/drying room (washer-drier, freezer, larder fridge). Downstairs bathroom. Small office with WiFi router. Staircases from both the hall and kitchen lead up to a large landing/room with seats and TV/DVD - ideal for children. Off this, a kingsize four-poster with low doorway to en suite bathroom (shower over bath); another double with en suite shower-room, three twins, one with en suite shower-room and a duplex of 3 singles with 1st floor single and a 2nd floor twin room (steeper staircase). Family Bathroom suite. From the back door there is a pretty little detached converted creamery with two bedrooms. Downstairs, a double bed and en suite shower-room; upstairs, another double with en suite bathroom. The property is ideal for larger family gatherings and we have had groups for events such as birthdays, anniversaries, walkers, cooking enthusiasts, friends and reunions. On one occasion string quartets were practicing around the main rooms. We look forward to hearing from you.
PRICING GUIDELINES BELOW: We have attempted to provide as much pricing information as possible so that you have a good idea of your price before calling. For our Higher Season weeks, the property is only available for full weeks and for any number of guests up to 17. For all other dates we are happy to offer weekends as well as full weeks and discounts for smaller groups Our minimum number for pricing purposes is 12 as shown but we are happy to accommodate any party size - our lowest so far has been 6! Please feel free to call or email to advise any specific requirements and we will do our very best to personalise your stay. Bed Linen is all provided FOC as part of your stay. As we have a pool and a beach very nearby most guests do bring suitable towels - Additional towels for use in the house may be provided on request GBP6.00 per set per guest. Dogs are welcome GBP15.00 per 4 footed guest. Refundable Security Deposit GBP250.00 . Check-in 3pm on arrival day and Check-out 10am on departure day.
