Tan Y Foel, a two bedroom bungalow has been tastefully refurbished and is in an excellent location for something to appeal for eveyones taste. There are a huge variety of places to visit for everyone, including places of historic interest, outdoor activities and beaches. The stunning National Trust property, Bodnant Gardens, is in the same village and the Conwy RSPB nature reserve is nearby for avid birdwatchers. Llandudno, a charming Victorian seaside town is perfect for a day out with a traditional pier and plenty of gift shops.

Visit the Great Orme and walk the paths and trails discovering the Kashmir goats and seabirds on the way! You can also try the dry ski slopes, visit the Venue Cymru theatre and take in a show, enjoy excellent shopping facilities or watch a movie at the multiplex cinema complex - all just six miles away. The popular medieval town of Conwy with its historic castle, cobbled streets and town walls is only five miles with fantastic eating establishments. Snowdonia National Park is approximately twenty five miles away and you can take the train up to the top of the Snowdon Mountain from Llanberis and take in the amazing views and scenery. Colwyn Bay, home to the Welsh Mountain Zoo is five miles and Caernarfon town with its momentous castle where Prince Charles was invested is only twenty five miles away.

Other attractions within easy reach are - Zip World in Bethesda where you can experience the thrill of 'flying' (or the nearest thing to it) on the mile long zip lines (500ft high so not for the faint hearted); the Tree Top Adventure site at Llanwrst providing high rope activities; the world's largest underground trampoline called Bounce Below, set in an enormous cavern at a former Welsh slate mine in Blanenau Ffesteniog (forty minutes drive); the popular town of Betws-Y-Coed which is popular with walkers and offers many shops selling outdoor equipment, restaurants and a nine hole parkland golf course set in spectacular scenery.

The North Wales regions of Anglesey and the Lleyn Peninsular are both within driving distance, and the stunning coastlines and beaches which have won many awards. Suiting young and old; families and couples, Tan-Y-Foel has good wheelchair access and is also suitable for people with limited mobility (please discuss your requirements with the owner prior to booking to ensure the cottage is suitable both inside and out).

Great holiday property !

By Dr VK on 13-Jul-2021

We stayed in this property in the second week of July this year (2021) for our holiday in north Wales and had a very good time .
This neat and tidy cottage, more than enough for a family of four comes with clear instructions from a friendly owner .
The detached property is secluded ,clean and well maintained, which is quite reassuring at times of recurring covid surges all over the country.
Views from the property are amazing and
the location itself is very convenient as a base for touring the entire north Wales .
All though the mobile signal is poor, the Wifi at the property lets you remain connected at all times and they have a landline too .
We would love to re-visit if possible and will certainly recommend this place to friends and colleagues.

The holiday let was absolutely brilliant, the views were stunning and in such a quiet location, not another property to be seen! Such a nice relaxing break, I would highly recommend.

A real treat

By Izzy on 04-Jul-2021

Had a wonderful few days in Tan-y-Foel, which we nicknamed 'The Tardis', it was so much bigger on the inside than it looked from the outside! The bungalow was well furnished, comfortable and spotlessly clean.
The location was great, beautiful mountain views, super walks from the cottage and absolute peace and quiet. We hope to be back soon!

Tan-y-foel

By Rachel Hayes on 23-May-2021

Tan-Y-Foel is a well equipped, spacious, and comfortable bungalow with beautiful views. The perfect place to relax and unwind. Lots of things to see and do in the area including the magnificent Bodnant gardens which are well worth a visit. Plenty of walks nearby for the more energetic and many interesting places to explore just a short drive away.
