Superbly located on the South coast between the historic fishing villages of Fowey and Charlestown, and 35 minutes by car to the North Coast, Tregrehan is a fabulous all season destination. Tregrehan House remains home to the Carlyon family since 1565. Tregrehan Garden, next to Kew and Hillier Gardens, protects the greatest diversity of recorded trees in the country. Across a cobbled courtyard, ancient trees tower above the walled garden.

Five fully equipped cottages surround the courtyard, each with it's own private garden. The property is surrounded by fields and ancient parkland, yet urban amenities are nearby (a mile west and east). Entry to Tregrehan Garden is free to guests during opening hours. All season tennis court. Nearby Fowey, historic fishing village and dining mecca. The popular film venue of historic Charlestown with its' tall ships & good restaurants lies to the west. Endless coastal walks. 15 minutes walk to the Eden Project. Pets are welcome in Coach House and Gamekeeper's cottages. Arrive to a warm house with lit fires, made beds and milk in the fridge.

The Gamekeeper's Cottage was renovated this spring 2021 opening the cottage to natural light throughout and giving direct access to it's private walled garden. Two has bedrooms, a spacious master with basin, a twin bedroom, and bathroom with overhead shower. It is a light, spacious cottage with open-plan kitchen/living room with local slate and wood flooring, high ceilings and a wood-burner (wood supplied free from the estate). Renovation included new wiring for modern connections and good WiFi.

Ideal for two with a 10% reduction, a small family, and pets with secure high walled private garden.

We are 'AA COVID~19 certified ' using strict cleaning protocols. In event of a NATIONAL or REGIONAL LOCK-DOWN all monies will be reimbursed. BUT it is strongly recommended that the client has suitable TRAVEL INSURANCE to cover eventualities resulting in you having to cancel your holiday for reasons including any illness, or if you or any of your group is required to self-isolate or quarantine due to COVID~19. There are numerous policies now readily available and many bank annual policies cover this situation. We cannot endorse any in particular but ‘Which’ or ‘Go Compare’ can give you a start point.

- absolutely fabulous location! Jo was great with communication and very helpful - there to help with any questions! Cottage beautiful and has everything you need inside - lovely log fire also! Lovely secure back garden for the dogs. Will definitely be returning!

The cottage is really well situated in beautiful grounds. We loved walking in the Parkland with our dog and the enclosed garden was a real bonus. We loved being near to all the cultural places we wanted to visit and near to the sea. We did so much.

“We holiday in Cornwall every year and have stayed many times at Tregrehan cottages. This was our first time in Gamekeepers Cottage and we were not disappointed. We arrived on a dismal February day and were greeted by a wonderful fire and golden daffodils. Jo is always really friendly and helpful making you feel at home from the moment you arrive. The Cottage is really well equipped and even has electric blankets on the beds which is fantastic on a cold evening. Our dogs loved their walks in the beautiful grounds. It truly is a magical place with loads of atmosphere and we will hopefully be back soon”.

Wohnen im Pferdestall!

Es war ein wunderschöner Urlaub. Unsere Gastgeberin Jo war sehr freundlich, herzlich und hilfsbereit. Perfekt.
Die Appartement hat sehr viel Charme und es es ist sehr schön, wenn die Hofhunde beim Frühstück vorbei schauen.
Das Gelände ist traumhaft und man wohnt in einem riesigen Park, wo einem die Perhühner begegnen.
Die Wohnung ist leider ein wenig kalt und feucht, so das man abends. auch bei warmen Temperaturen, den Ofen anheizen muss.
Aber abgesehen davon, toll und nochmals. .......

“Great location, boundless facilities and such a relaxing environment. Situated on a beautiful estate, the Gamekeeper's cottage was simply lovely. The Tregrehan estate was located in a perfect position for access to everything we needed; beaches, the Eden project, football golf, and many many more of the tourist attractions this area has to offer. The open fire and provision of unlimited firewood was the cherry on the cake. Jo was an amazing host, and all of the estate staff couldn't do enough to help. We'll definitely be visiting again. Thank you!”

We keep returning as the Estate is very beautiful and private and all 4 properties we have been in are of a high standard. Jo and her team do everything to make your holiday a delight.
I cannot recommend this wonderful place highly enough.

A peaceful holiday in a perfect setting

Have stayed here many times over several years which speaks for itself. The property is as described and is clean and well maintained. There is everything that you need and the owner and staff are always helpful and friendly. It is ideal for two people and the wood burner makes it cosy and comfortable whatever time of year. Within walking distance of the Eden Project and well located for beaches and countryside and other houses and gardens, although will you want to leave the garden at Tregrehan?
