StoneGate Barn is a standalone property overlooking green running fields towards St. Ives Bay & St. Michaels Mount. Renovated by the owners into a charming holiday cottage to provide a peaceful retreat. Built circa 1895, but now presented to the highest standards gives guests the chance to sample living within a traditional Cornish granite building with added luxury comforts including a log burning stove & beautiful stable front door - whereby you can open the top to listen to local songbirds above the meadow. Before venturing out on excursions you can enjoy morning coffee in the back rear courtyard with the sun chasing across to warm you or spend time winding down in your own private front garden. Ideal for evening BBQs or to just sit together on the 'Sunset' bench in the meadow watching it on the horizon across St Ives Bay.

DOGS ARE NOT TO BE LEFT ALONE IN THE PROPERTY & guests advised that some local beaches have restrictions during the year.
Private meadow alongside property for you to enjoy - guests welcome to exercise your dog/s but recommend they remain on leads at all times.

We do not allow additional people to stay at the property or use the facilities unless they are on the booking.
We cannot allow electric cars or e-bicycles to be charged from the property. Additional charges will be incurred for breaking these rules.
Checkout must be no later than 9am on day of leaving to allow for Changeover staff to enter property.

Great accommodation & customer service

Everything we wanted. Owner provided lots of local tips and recommendations beforehand to ensure our stay was as best as possible. Even had a fun Learn to Surf holiday experience - definitely a first. Stayed last August but forgot to add review before so posting now as notice Angela has just open again for the season. Lovely countryside retreat, close to everything

My wife, 14 year old daughter and I had the pleasure of spending a week at Stonegate Barn in early July 2021. The barn itself is spacious, and lovely and clean. The Covid protocol for arrival was very smooth, the barn is stand alone with its own entrance gate, so it feels very private. Angela was very welcoming and let you know she was always available should you need anything. The barn is very well situated on a hill looking down on St Ives/Carbis Bay and the North Cornwall Coast. Such is the narrow nature of the Cornish peninsula that you can also look down to the South Cornwall Coast too and decide which coast looks the best for weather on any given day! It is the perfect base for exploring Cornwall, within a stone's throw of Penzance, St.Michael's Mount, Mousehole and St.Ives, and less than an hour's drive to Land's End and the Minack Theatre to the south and Padstow and Newquay to the north, as well as being about an hour from the Eden Project. We would definitely recommend the barn to anyone with a small family who is looking for a peaceful base from which to explore deepest Cornwall. The surrounding countryside and the coastal scenery is stunning, with fab sunsets right outside the front door. Thanks for a fantastic week Angela and Scott.
