Description

A wonderful self contained apartment within a former Rectory set in 2.5 acres of peaceful grounds teeming with birds and wildlife. The recently refurbished apartment is fully centrally heated and is completely private with separate access through a private courtyard which has a lovely outdoor seating and dining area. The accommodation consists of an en-suite bedroom with a king size bed ,hypo allergenic bedding and luxurious 300 count Egyptian cotton bedding . The comfortable living room has a 42 inch flat screen TV, DVD player and dining table and chairs. There is a very well equipped kitchen with dining area and a seperate w/c downstairs. There is ample parking within the grounds very close to the property. We are happy to do short breaks out of season from 2 nights, other than that we let the apartment on a minimum of seven night basis.

The Apartment is situated in a quiet village which boasts a church mentioned in the Domesday book, the fabulous Tudor built Barsham Manor and a delightful pub. It is in a perfect central location , just a short drive from the gorgeous unspoilt beaches of the North Norfolk coast where you will find mile after mile of sea and sand, perfect for relaxing on a warm summers day, but just as exhilarating for winter walks wrapped up against the cold. A short drive will take you to the Georgian market town of Fakenham and Pensthorpe Waterfowl Park as seen in the BBC's Springwatch shows, and within easy reach of other interesting towns such as Walsingham , Holt and Burnham Market to name but a few. Slightly further afield is the magnificent city of Norwich home to the famed Cathedral, fabulous shops, restaurants, the Canaries football team and Alan Partridge! Bird reserves such as Titchwell , Holme and Cley are also a short distance away.

New for 2016 guests can now take advantage of our Sports and Remedial Massage service at the property by a fully accredited, Insured and ITEC qualified massage therapist, including Postural Analysis, Deep tissue Massage, Myofascial Release and Full Body Relaxing massage. Prices on application. What better way to wind down after a hard days sightseeing !

Rural retreat

By Joan P. on 16-Aug-2014

Rural retreat Spacious, clean, newly decorated apartment on 2 floors with lovely views from the upstairs windows. We particularly enjoyed watching the sunsets from the bedroom window. Quiet and rural location but with very convenient pub next door! Excellent position for touring North Norfolk. Owners very welcoming and friendly - quickly provided items we requested. We loved the glorious North Norfolk coastline especially Holme-next-the-Sea, Burnham Overy Staithe, Holkham and Overstrand. Inland we would recommend trips to Holt ( good shopping ) and Sandringham (beautiful grounds ). Lots of good places to eat including seafood at Salthouse. Really good walks abound. An excellent week ( with wonderful weather! ) - thanks Heather and Russ for providing such a comfortable base and local knowledge. 08/16/2014 at 12:00 PM

Fantastic find ...!

Fantastic find....! We were looking for somewhere convenient to go bird watching and visit local places of interest. I read the previous reviews and thought I'd book. I was not disappointed. It is in a great location. Pretty central for all the places we wanted to visit, yet it's set in a peaceful location. The accommodation is spotlessly clean and well equipped. It is comfortable and spacious. The friendly owners are well worth taking the time to talk to as they also know some lesser known bird watching sites. I will be back.....! 09/22/2014 at 5:31 PM
