Beautifully Restored Farmhouse sleeps 8 with Private Pool set in ¾ of an acre.

Set in a Hamlet a short distance from the medieval Bastide town of Eymet in glorious, peaceful rolling countryside this charming farmhouse is full of character with beams and exposed stone walls.
Ideal for those seeking relaxation and outdoor activities. The surrounding area is full of vineyards, sunflowers (July and August) and farming land.

Accommodation is conveniently situated in two separate but adjoining areas. In the main house there is a large lounge with comfortable sofas, a large flat screen TV with English Channels, DVD player, DVD's and an Ipod player. Double doors lead out onto the pool area, another into the covered outside dining area and an open doorway into a large farmhouse kitchen.

In the kitchen another open doorway leads into the hallway / office area which in turn leads onto two double bedrooms, a large shower room and separate WC. There are doors from the rear bedroom into the orchard with views overlooking the countryside and another door leads from the hallway into the front garden. The other bedroom overlooks the front garden. Another door from the kitchen leads into a covered area which in turn leads into the annex. Here there are another two bedrooms (a double and a twin) and a large bathroom with bath/shower and WC. Both bedrooms have views over the gardens.
Bed linen, bath towels, two hairdryers, games and books are provided.

Outside the walled Courtyard, there is a large garden to the front and side suitable for games and activities.

The main feature of our cottage is the beautiful plant filled, sheltered and private stonewalled courtyard area with an 8m x 4m swimming pool, sun terraces and the covered sitting / dining area. Shade is also provided to part of the terrace by a beautiful lime tree.
Sun-Loungers and pool towels are provided as is a BBQ. The pool is protected by an alarm.

The property is fully fenced and set back from the quiet country lane. Smoking is outside ONLY.

Eymet with its shops, bars, cafes, restaurants and fabulous medieval square is just a few minutes away by car. There is a market in the square on Thursday morning and night market on Tuesday evening.

Local activities include bike riding, golf, fishing, horse riding, canoeing and much more. Superb location to explore the Dordogne and Lot valleys with their 1000 Chateaux, caves, Vineyards and Bastide villages.

The medieval town of Bergerac is 20 minutes away, explore the cobbled streets steeped in history or take a boat down the Dordogne river.

The Courtyard offers you tasteful and peaceful accommodation but close enough to the bustling town of Eymet. The accommodation is versatile and is ideal for two families or a large family sharing separate accommodation. Sorry no single sex groups.

Nicola Parker: Wow, what a wonderful time we have all had at The Courtyard. We didn’t know we had in in us to relax so deeply. The peace and tranquillity of the place has been soothing to the soul, and we return to Surrey refreshed and with plenty of great memories of pool games, star gazing and eating al fresco every night. The Chapman Family: We spent a relaxing week at the Courtyard. The accommodation is extremely comfortable but we spent most of our time outside, either in the sun or in the shade that The Courtyard offers. Hong Kong’s Covid rules meant our adult son couldn’t return there if he stayed in the UK so we wanted a place in France for some quality family time and we certainly found it. We visited several of the pretty towns that can be reached in an hour or so but we spent many afternoons and nearly every evening at The Courtyard.

McGovern Family: Fantastic time and, like previous residents, we wish we were staying for at least another week. The cottage is incredibly comfortable and spacious but the highlight has to be the outside area which is absolutely lovely, with numerous seating areas to relax in the sun, the shade and in the evening - it's literally like having an outdoor house. The pool is a generous size, providing welcome relief from the heat. The owners were excellent, communicating through every step of the process.
