Summary L’Orangerie, is a beautifully restored 18th century building, part of the Chateau du Faure estate. It is the perfect place for families and friends wanting to holiday together yet be assured of plenty of space. Set in a walled private garden of 2 acres, surrounded by vineyards and the French countryside, all 8 ensuite bedrooms open onto a large terrace, sun-drenched by late morning until evening. Alongside the pool is the original Orangerie, now converted into a small casual summer bar. The private pool is securitised with a solar operated hard cover. Access to a wide range of sporting facilities: tennis court, croquet lawn, boules, football field, complete the picture. L'Orangerie is two kilometers from the ancient village Gensac, with its bars, restaurants and essential services, and is 25 minutes by car from the larger towns of Ste Foy la Grande and Castillon La Bataille. The world famous wine town of Ste Emilion is just 25 minutes away. Riding, golf, canoeing, fishing are all nearby. The property has a warm and friendly character offering plenty of space for everyone of all ages. €3000 per week, €450 per night minimum 3 night stay.
L'Orangerie is ideally situated for exploring some of the most beautiful vineyards in the world and presents an ideal venue for celebrating special occasions, reunions of family and friends or professional development. A fully equipped modern kitchen, three large beamed reception rooms on upper floor (dining room, cinema room, salon) for groups to gather and relax. A great house to enjoy whether on holiday, celebrating a special occasion, or gathering to pursue your special interests. The Orangerie, owned by Orpheus and Bacchus Special Villas, France, has been in operation over 20 years and has been selected by clients from the UK, US, Canada, Australia, France, Holland and Israel.
Accommodation L’Orangerie is a spacious, comfortable, house, around 440m². The living accommodation is on the first floor, accessed by a wide staircase, and is characterised by original oak beams and high ceilings. A highly equipped kitchen has two dishwashers, an American fridge/freezer plus a professional fridge, and a washer/dryer. The dining room has an oak gate-leg table seating up to 16 comfortably, plus a snooker table. Doors open onto the cinema room with three metre screen, projection system, CD and DVD player, and Wi-Fi. Beyond is the very large landing/sitting area and next to it is the salon with open stone fireplace. All eight bedrooms are located on the ground floor. Each bedroom (four double and four twin) has a fully equipped modern en-suite bath or shower room. There is also a separate toilet on the ground floor. All rooms are tastefully decorated with modern and antique furniture, and are designed for comfortable holiday living. Each bedroom has French doors opening directly onto the terrace, facing west for the afternoon and evening sun. All linen and towels are provided. The house is centrally heated; there is a charge for heating throughout the year. Housecleaning, linen-change, are available as optional extras at separate cost upon request. Animals welcomed with permission.
Orangerie visit this Summer

We had a truly wonderful stay at the Orangerie this Summer. Sharon, the owner, was very hospitable and we enjoyed talking to her about the history of the grounds and 3 villas that are all situated within the grounds. The house was immaculate, spacious, the pool a perfect temperature and we enjoyed playing tennis and playing Boules.
We would definitely go back and highly recommend this venue for families, friends or large parties when the other villas can be booked out alongside. Each has their own private pool.
It rests in the heart of vineyards and there is certainly plenty to do around if you choose to be more active.
Thanks to Sharon, it was a wonderful, restful week.
