Description

If your family are looking for a quiet location but still in a village with pubs, restaurants, shops and beach all close by then this deceptively spacious, detached house will be ideal. Hidden in the village in a quiet cul-de-sac Duck’s Nest is another one of our ‘tardis’ properties – very much bigger than it looks. The extension at the rear is an excellent place for relaxing and the ground floor bedroom with it’s ensuite offers flexible accommodation for the less mobile. There is even a utility room for rinsing off dogs and children when they come off the beach.

The small high street which offers a few local independent shops is about a 10 minutes walk. The nearest bus stop is only a minute’s walk away and there is a short cut from the rear garden to the handy supermarket just across the road.

Very comfortably furnished and equipped in a modern style, we are sure the house will become a very popular place to stay with our guests all year round. Being along the coast only a few miles from the busy Victorian resort of Hunstanton, Heacham is becoming popular for those who do not wish to be caught up on the busy seaside town as it offers a more peaceful location. It is also still easily accessible for public transport along the coast and to Kings Lynn where there is a regular train service to north and south of the country.

The rear garden attracts all day sunshine, perfect for eating ‘al fresco’ from dawn till dusk. Gas radiator heating with underfloor heating in the ‘summer’ room. Ground floor bedroom with double bed and doors to garden. Ensuite bathroom having separate shower corner (wet room style) and freestanding roll top bath, washbasin and WC. Door through to utility with sink and door to front garden. The utility is perfect for when returning from country walks or the beach for wellies, dogs and washing down.

Ground floor mostly tiled; Entrance porch. Lounge with feature electric fireplace, TV and staircase. Doors through to the large social ‘summer’ room consisting of modern kitchen, TV, dining and living area, perfect for family and friends to relax whilst meals are in preparation. Double doors opening onto the rear garden, mainly lawn with patio and garden furniture.

First floor: landing with three bedrooms all carpeted; bedroom one with a twins and very distant views of the sea and horizon; bedroom 2 with a double and TV and bedroom 3 having a single. Family shower room with corner power shower, washbasin and WC.

Parking; Driveway with one parking space and street parking outside the small front garden for family cars

Accidental damage waiver of £25 payable on each booking.

Wonderful time, local to beaches and other facilities

By Luisa on 26-Aug-2023

We had a lovely time, and the house was in a great location, 5-10 minute walk to the beach and a shop around the corner. The house was lovely with great downstairs walk in shower and huge bath off a double bedroom which was perfect especially if you struggle with stairs. Upstairs another walk in shower and spacous bedrooms and comfortable beds! The only downfall was parking when more than one car!

Lovely winter break

By Steve on 18-Feb-2023

Even in mid-February we found plenty to do. The beaches around the area were amazing, our favourites being Brancaster and Old Hunstanton. Local hostelries served good food and beers and were in easy walking distance for the able bodied. The house was large, neat and clean, containing everything you could need. We were quite a large party, 6 adults, 1 infant and a dog, but there was plenty of room for everyone and we would all happily return for another stay.
