Such a delightful cottage brimming with character and is very comfortable and welcoming. We found the location to be perfect, a real getaway, so peaceful and relaxing surrounded by beautiful scenery with plentiful walks yet just a short drive to the stunning Lake Vyrnwy. The cottage offers lots of space inside and out and is fully equipped with many thoughtful touches, definitely more of a home from home than a normal holiday rental. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our two dogs, and wanted to stay longer! No hesitation in returning or recommending. Thank you Christine for sharing and being such a lovely helpful host.
This lovely cottage fully lived up to its description, full of charm and lovingly cared for and not like a holiday cottage at all. Ideally placed to explore North Wales which is absolutely captivating!
Christine is a very attentive host and kept us very well Informed throughout our stay.
We hope that we will have the opportunity to return soon!
This historic house has been thoughtfully restored and is comfortably furnished. It is beautiful without being at all stiff or formal. There is a very elegant dining room, a cosy lounge with deep sofas and chairs to relax in. Full central heating keeps the house warm throughout and the wood burner in the lounge adds to the cosy atmosphere. The kitchen is very well equipped; and has a substantial table with enough chairs to seat 6 comfortably. The beds and linen are top quality and very comfortable. Sometimes when I hire a holiday cottage - it feels just that. Bare essentials and transient. But this house does not feel like that at all. Instead it feels like a real home and we were pleased it was ours for a week. Highly recommended.
This is our second visit to this cottage, which does everything that it says on the tin. Good accommodation c/w comfortable furniture, lovely log burning fire, great location, and very well equipped - lacked for nothing including a proper pantry ! I will be very surprised if we, all five of us, plus Alfie the well behaved cocker spaniel don`t return next year.
What`s not to like ?
beautiful cottage owner Christine was a lovely person to talk to
one of the best holidays we have had. would recommend this cottage to anyone who wants
a relaxing hol
We really loved Llan farmhouse -
a beautiful old cottage with original wooden rafters, cosy living and the most idyllic back garden. So much to see within driving distance (and great views en route) - the lake, Attingham Park, Blue Planet aquarium, Zip World Caverns and Fforest, Chirk Castle. We were there a week but could easily have filled two weeks with fabulous days out. The kids can't wait to go back!
Just the most peaceful spot in Wales! The cottage is a true haven. The interior is perfection. Simple, calming, tasteful and of the period and place. How lovely to stay here, where the memories are etched into the walls and floors, and time stands still.
A beautifully presented Welsh cottage, very well fitted out and in a stunning position.
We couldn't wish for more, conveniently located for walking and Lake Vryney.
We had a lovely time and will try and get back at some time.
Thanks Chhritine for making us welcome
Jenny Francis.
Lovely farmhouse in the hamlet of Hirnant. The house had everything we needed and is tastefully furnished with country antique furniture. Plenty of books, games and DVDs for wet days (it is Wales!) and a big garden with fruit trees and a pond with wildilfe to watch on sunny ones.
The owner is very approachable, with communicatiion both before we visited and while there to make sure we were OK.
The local area is beautiful with good walking and waterfalls to visit. Llangollen, Welshpool and Oswestry within an hour's drive. Lake Vyrnwy with lake walks, waterfall, and hotel about 10 mins drive.
Would be delighted to return.
Amazing place to stay, a birthday we will never forget & somewhere we will come back to!
We loved our stay here enjoying the piece and quiet In the lovely countryside
There is plenty to do in the surrounding area and towns of Oswestry and Welshpool
The cottage has more than expected for your stay and the owner will go out of her way to make you fee at home
Will definitely be returning in the future
The cottage was gorgeous and the area was idylllic, remote and peaceful.
Nearby Lake Vyrnwy is beautiful and we had a lovely day out there, finished by a delicious meal in the hotel.
There’s plenty of places to visit in the nearby area but hirnant itself is remote enough to be the most relaxing place I’ve ever been!
My 5 year old daughter wanted to stay forever!
WE had to reschedule our stay twice due to snow and the owner couldn't have been more accommodating. Finally when we got to the cottage it was everything we hoped it would be. It's a lovely place to stay, very clean and comfortable with lots of nice welcoming touches by the owner.
If you want dark night skies, log burning stoves, old oak beams and countryside then this place is just the ticket. We'd go back without hesitation.
