Description

Gorgeous Brunswick is located in the heart of beautiful, vibrant and eclectic Hove, just off the seafront and a short 2 minute walk from Hove's high quality independent shops, cafés, restaurants, bars but still also walking distance to the exuberant central Brighton! 15 minutes walk to Brighton's central shopping district and bar culture.

[We have just renovated many areas of the cottage as this is our holiday too this year!
Fresh photos will be put up in the next couple of weeks as we finalise the details. I am only advertising here for the next 2 weeks and then I will advertise with booking.com again. So all dates are currently available for booking.]

The cottage is always great place of fun, whether it is for a family event or a gathering of friends, it's airy space has party feeling. As a family we love getting there as it is so different to our country home, you feel you are in a holiday mood the moment you go through the door! My 3 year old calls it our beach house.
Gorgeous Brunswick is full of history; built in 1822 and was originally the drawing rooms of Charles Busby, the internationally acclaimed architect who designed the neoclassical Brunswick Town, adjacent to which Gorgeous Brunswick is situated.
Today, Gorgeous Brunswick offers guests a unique and memorable holiday experience.

The main living area is encompassed by a stunning arched ceiling, which was rediscovered in 2001 when the property was featured on the British television series 'Grand Designs Indoors' presented by Kevin McCloud. Open plan with triple aspect windows, it is a fabulous space in which to socialise, eat and drink, or simply relax whilst enjoying the Smart / television, Sound Bar and Lutron lighting system.
Gorgeous Brunswick offers cosy nooks for adults and children, respectively. The master bedroom contains a luxurious super king-sized four poster bed and has a contemporary design. In the second bedroom, there are playful and fun bunk beds for the kids to enjoy, as well as a funky alcove incorporating a double bed and a further television.
Gorgeous Brunswick also has a small sun room (which my now pre teens are using as their hangout) with concertina double glazed doors, leading to a small decked patio garden with a bistro set where the young kids can play safely. There are le toy van toys, magnetic wall and chalk wall to keep young ones entertained.
The cottage is fabulous, and is always a place of fun. It is well suited to suited for families but we have accommodated many groups of adults. Sleeping arrangements are;
Bedroom 1: Sleeps 2 adults in a super king bed.
Bedroom 2: Sleeps 3 adults and 2 children in a double bed, a triple bunk with a adult single and 2 junior beds (160 x 70cm, average single is 190 x 90cm)
Sun room: Sleeps 2 adults on a floor sofa bed.

The cottage is a skip, hop and jump from the beautiful promenade. With the sea one side and Hove lawns the other, where you can play ball games or visit one of the many events often taking place in Brighton and Hove.
The wide promenade is a great place for young and old. Directly opposite the cottage the seafront is relatively unspoilt with buildings, just the odd cafe. However within 5 minutes you will reach the iconic (burnt) West Pier with the i360
http://www.brightoni360.co.uk.
There is a lovely play park just here and a stretch of new shops. Continue a little further and you are in the heart of the Brighton beach bar culture.
The cottage is just over 15 minutes walk to the Brighton Centre, 20 minutes to the start of the South laines and just under 30 minutes to Brighton Pier.
Parking
There is no parking with cottage, however there are pay and display options around the cottage. The cheapest is on the seafront (2 minutes from the cottage) at £10 for 24 hours.
Previous guests have also reserved parking about 3 streets away at £15 for 24 hours. They said it worked well. This would guarantee you a parking space in advance in summer months.
When we go for more than 3 days we often park out of town for free and then make the 20min walk back as you don't need a car once you are there.

Lovely family get away

By Emma S. on 19-Sep-2020

We had an enjoyable long weekend stay at the cottage. The location is absolutely perfect and in such a nice part of Hove. We had a 4 year old in our party who loved all the toys on offer, especially the outside play house. Would definitely consider staying again. Thank you! Published 19 Sep 2020

Fabulous experience in cozy Brighton cottage

By Leslie H. on 31-Dec-2019

My daughter and son-in-law and their four children stayed in Sarah's cottage for nine days over Christmas. Right from the get-go when I first contacted Sarah about renting her place communicating with her was a breeze, she responded quickly and answered all my questions. Very rarely does a place exceed expectations but Sarah's place certainly did. First of all it was larger than I expected and so my daughter's six member family was very comfortable and in fact the place could have accommodated more people as there were two couches that could have been used as beds. The place was spotless and Sarah had decorated it so nicely for Christmas with a tree and everything which was so nice for children away from home at Christmas. She had also left a lovely welcome gift for them to enjoy. The kitchen is very well appointed with lots of dishes, pots and pans and cutlery; you could easily cook for a family or large group. The cottage is beautifully situated for exploring Brighton and just a block up from the beach. There is every amenity you could need close by including grocery stores and laundromats. I can highly recommend Sarah's place. Published 14 Jan 2020
