Bracken Hill is a large house located on the outskirts of Kendal, a vibrant market town and gate way to the South Lakes. The house offers stylish accommodation over 2 floors with plenty of space in which to relax inside and out. Bracken Hill sleeps 12 people, with 5 bedroom, 3 of which are en suite and a ground floor WC and shower room. The elevated position offers fantastic views over the town, Kentmere Fells and to the mountains beyond. The house is situated within walking distance of a dining pub and a short drive into Kendal and the facilities of a busy market town.
The double height kitchen is finished with a modern breakfast bar and conservatory dining area. The kitchen is spacious and well equipped for cooking for a large group with place settings for 12 guests. There is a utility room off the kitchen space which has an additional American style fridge/freezer, sink and prep space, washer , dryer, ironing board and iron. Patio doors from this area allows access to the front and back of the house where there is a charcoal BBQ and outdoor seating areas.
The hall is lined with original artwork form local and upcoming artists. Here you will find a ground floor twin bedroom which opens straight onto the back patio; this is perfect for older guests. Opposite is a WC, with basin and shower.
There are two conjoined living spaces; the snug offers a cosy night in with an open fire and comfy sofas. The adjacent lounge is beautifully decorated with amply seating areas of a large gather. Both rooms come with wide screen TV’s and BT Vision.
At the front of the house is the Boot Room which allows you to kick off your muddy boots and hang up outside gear.
Upstairs there are three master bedrooms; two with Super King Size beds both with en suites and views to the fells and mountains beyond the third has a Kings Size bed and en suite.
There is a small double bedroom and also a very cosy bunk room.
All bedroom are carpeted with ample wardrobe provision.
Each room has thick fluffy white and fresh white linen.
During your stay at Bracken Hill find time to relax in the large gardens, the front patio is the perfect spot to catch the sunset over the mountains of the Lake District with the Chimera to keep you warm.
Bracken Hill is perfectly situated to explore the vibrant market town of Kendal and its picture perfect surroundings.

Booking Your Stay
We have a minimum 3 night stay at Bracken Hill with the exception for the summer month of August when there is a 7 night minimum stay.
During all but the month of August there is a minimum of a 3 night stay at Bracken Hill.
Friday until Monday or Monday until Friday
A weekend stay; Friday until Monday at Bracken Hill will be £1,650 3 nights
A midweek stay; Monday until Friday at Bracken Hill will be £1,750 4 nights
A week long stay; Friday until Friday at Bracken Hill will be £2,850 in August.
