Our Family run holiday home, Shelterstone is situated on the edge of Keswick, ideal for getting out and exploring the Lake District or just popping down in to the town.

The property in the heart of the Lake District boasts great views of the Lakeland fells, Latrigg and Blencathra to mention a couple.

The generous plot means parking is in abundance with our large gravel driveway. Our garden is a great size with a mixture of grass and plenty of patio space to use on those warm summer days. Make use of our picnic bench and fantastic views.

There is also an integral garage for our guests to use either to store bike and equipment.

Set In Keswick The Heart Of The Lake District.

Our changeover days are changing to Friday and Monday; we offer 7 night stays starting Friday, plus short breaks Monday to Friday and Friday to Monday ( minimum 3 night stay ) Off peak nightly rate £80, Mid season £135 and Peak season £160

Off season minimum 3 nights costing £80 per night. Jan - Mar (excluding half term) Nov - Dec (excluding Christmas and New Year weeks)
Mid season minimum 3 nights costing £125 per night. Mar -Jun (excluding May half term & Bank Holiday) Sep - Nov (excluding October Half Term)
Peak season minimum 3 nights costing £160 per night. All school holiday weeks (excluding February & October half term which are Mid season)

Weekly booking based on a reduced nightly rate.

Included in your stay are all utilities, Wi-Fi and bedding. We do supply a small welcome pack selection to get you started. Due to the the on going situation we will no longer supply towels and we have reduced some items from the welcome pack.

NO PETS (DOGS) OR SMOKING ALLOWED IN OUR PROPERTY.

Loved our stay as we love Keswick and surrounding area

Property on first impressions from outside, appeared neglected compared with surrounding houses
Inside, bedrooms ,bathroom and lounge fine
Kitchen requires attention - ceiling and paintwork
Cooker hob and oven not very clean
Light bulbs not working at top or bottom of stairs- swapped them with bedside table bulbs and left note for cleaner Felt that should have been checked before entry

Have stayed in a number of self catering properties and this one is not at top of list

Good cosy house for a winter trip with plenty of parking.

Shared this house with 4 friends over new year. Comfortable and warm once we got the hang of the heating controls. A good shower. Room in the kitchen to dry our wet clothes while cooking and eating. Everything in good working order and room in the garage for our bikes. It's quite a walk into Keswick and uphill on the way back but a very short drive. The electric fire in the lounge was a bit feeble but it was below freezing while we were there and the central heating is pretty good.

Comfortable clean bungalow and well equipped inside. Outside requires some attention as looks a bit shabby on arrival eg gutters. The drive is very uneven as turn into property.
There were a lot of flies in the kitchen when we arrived which was a bit concerning until we had got rid of them.
On the whole good value for money.
