We had superb week at Rivermead Farm. Starting with warm welcome by the hosts and welcome basket deluxe (I never saw so many delicious things as a welcome gift in a holiday cottage), the really spacious grounds with lots of things to do for the kids, the lovely interiour of the cottages, a more then well equipped kitchen and a BBQ outside, Rivermead Farm is located perfectly for trips to many sights, the sea, the moor and many places more. And then there were TC and Wellington! We travelled with two families including 4 kids age 5 to 12 and EVERYBODY was happy! But unfortunatly we had just one week... I hope we can come back some day. 5.0 / 5.0
Had a fantastic time at Salmon, Kevin and Marjorie are both very friendly and helpful. The accommodation had everything you could possibly need - a home from home - and was perfect for a family of 4. The grounds are fantastic and kept both my boys entertained when not out visiting other Cornish delights. Will definitely be going back in the near future, but hopefully for a longer period this time. 5.0 / 5.0
The grounds are fantastic, the cottage is quaint and very comfortable. The welcome pack that Kevin and Majoree provided, was most welcome and very generous. The cottage is well placed to explore the whole of Cornwall. We would highly recoomend this property........ 5.0 / 5.0
Excellent property in a fabulous location with brilliant hosts, couldn't ask for anything more. Highly recommended, top of our list for our next Cornwall visit. 5.0 / 5.0
Very friendly and helpful host. There was everything we needed in and outside the appartment. Quiet and pretty garden. We appreciated the welcome basket with products from Cornwall. 4.8 / 5.0
Wonderful relaxing stay - beautiful cottage and surrounding gardens.Lovely hosts who have provided those little extras of home comforts and thoughtful pieces from children's out door games , books, magazines , puzzles, bird hide complete with binoculars, fire pit and lovely tree swings in the grounds to a well equipped kitchen should you wish to bake or cook during your stay. Amazing welcome hamper with lots of lovely local goodies on arrival - a real delight for the whole family. The cottage is a great base from which to explore the surrounding area, we travelled to Padstow, Polperro, Polrue, Lost gardens of Heligan, Carnglaze Caverns, Bodmin Moor, Steam train and many more. We would not hesitate to recommend or return to Salmon Cottage at Rivermead Farm. The whole family Pebble and Bailey included enjoyed their stay. Thank you for a lovely holiday.
Our stay here was a last minute find, therefore we did not arrive with great expectations. Contrary to our mindset, welcoming was excellent: a beautiful hamper of goodies, pristine cleanliness, stunning cottage and surroundings are only a few of the features that made an impression at first glance. The hosts are very pleasant and friendly and the highlight for our kids and equally for us was meeting Wellington. Highly recommended - hope to return here soon. Thank you Kevin and Marjorie. 5.0 / 5.0
Our stay was a last minute find, therefore we did not arrive with great expectations. Contrary to our mindset the welcoming was brilliant: our name on a blackboard as we got through the door, a beautiful hamper full of goodies on the kitchen table, pristine cleanliness, charming cottage inside-out, and all in the most wonderful location. These are only a few features, not to mention the river, the lake and the friendliness of the hosts. The highlight for the kids was meeting Wellington, and we were equally delighted. Thank you Marjorie and Kevin. We would highly recommend it and hope to return there soon.

What a lovely location on wonderful grounds with owner managers for whom nothing is too much trouble, and who have thought of everything. Games for the kids, boule court, fishing, bbq's to use and the cottage was so well appointed with everything you need in the kitchen. We were welcomed warmly, and there was a fantastic welcome basket containing a few essentials, and a few treats too.
A last minute holiday, which we thoroughly enjoyed Cottage superb plus a very well thought out welcome pack awaited us on our arrival. Surroundings tranquil and a retreat from the hustle and bustle of tourism Cornwall.Very well situated between north and south coast, lots of places visited,Fowey,Padstow,Lost Gardens of Heligan,Eden Project,to name but a few.Highly recommend RIvermead Farm.
Having just returned from staying in Salmon cottage, I have to say what a beautiful place to relax. The river for fishing or the lake. large fields for the kids and dog to run around. The owners were ever so helpful and the welcome basket was an absolute godsend. Thank you so much for making our stay so peaceful and relaxing. Nothing is too much trouble for Kevin and Marjorie and I would highly recommend anyone looking for some peace and quiet, then book this cottage. The equipment was of such a high standard and the games in the laundry room kept the kids quiet for a couple of hours at least. Once again thanks and we hope to return in the near future.
The cottage was fantastic - the kitchen was a equipt for everything and even a BBQ outside and a bench to sit! The cottage inside was beautifully decortated and the equiptment was top of the range! Even a coffee maker too! Was welcomed with a huge hamper of goodies for us to enjoy which was a delight! I cant recommend this place enough. The grounds were specacular - there is fishing and lovely walks to be had here which we loved. A total gem!
A big group of us booked all the cottages for a Uni re-union. The cottages were all stylishly furnished and decorated with paintings by local artists. The grounds are magnificent with river and own lake. Peaceful but also loads to do. We learnt to fly fish, did the fitness trail in the mornings, played boule and croquet and golf. And had BBQs in the evenings. The owners were on hand to recommend good pubs and restaurants which didn't disappoint. Definitely going again.
We had a great weekend staying at Rivermead Farm with a group of friends. Everything was ready for us when we arrived, topped by an enticing welcome basket full of local treats. Salmon is smartly done out, as are the other cottages where our friends were staying. The bed was very comfortable. The kitchen was very clean and smart, with everything you might need, even for a long stay. The best part about Rivermead Farm is the grounds. We started mornings with the trim trail, tried fly fishing during the day and barbecued the spoils in the evening. Best of all was just a quiet walk amongst the bluebells around the lake and along the Fowey
Brilliantly easy-going owners and very attentive welcome goodies, so you won't have to worry about the first breakfast. Decor has a definite female touch, adding to the cosiness. All 'mod cons' and then some, so you can chill out with a little, or as much technology as you like. Wifi connection is excellent, so you don't have to forget the outside world. Good beds to collapse into and quality linen that adds to the comfort. Efficient heating throughout when cold and the property has charming natural shade outside to cool things down in the Summer. For all the ladies with an eye for original artisan jewellery, the on-site craft shop is worth a definite visit. Surrounding land, riverbank and lake are fantastic for tranquil morning walks and the dogs will love discovering all the new smells.
Beautiful setting and a great location for sightseeing. The owners, Kevin & Marjorie, were very welcoming and friendly. The accommodation has been finished to a very high standard, with lovely touches throughout, which included a welcome basket with everything you would need after a long journey. This was booked by us as a last minute get away, and we really feel that we found a wonderful little retreat that we will definitely be staying at again. My only complaint was that we were only there for a week, would happily have spent longer there. Highly recommended.
