Lovely restored barn in a quiet village

By Ken L. on 04-Aug-2019

Owner provided excellent directions and met us on arrival . The property is well equipped in a private courtyard . Very safe for the children and close to the village pub. There are some lovely walks starting from the property and it’s inly about 15 minutes drive into Skipton . Thoroughly enjoyed our stay

A gem in the yorkshire dales

By Sally S. on 28-Jul-2019

A wonderful place to stay. The property was converted to a high standard . Susan and Keith made us feel very welcome. The pub that can be seen from the property was excellent and we enjoyed a few meals there. A good location to explore this area of Yorkshire.

What a delightful barn conversion, to a high standard with many thoughtful touches around the place. In a beautiful dale making every journey one filled with glorious scenery. Can highly recommend. Many thanks to Susan and Keith for their thoughtfulness and hospitality. We’d love to return one day

Comfortable, well equipped property deep in the Dales

By Vince G. on 25-Sep-2018

Excellent location on the Pennine Way. This modern barn conversion is packed with facilities to make your stay comfortable, whatever the weather. They include a small utility room which the presence of the central heating boiler turns it into an ideal drying room for wet clothes and footwear.
Disappointed that the kitchen at the Hare and Hounds pub, just a two minute walk from this property, is closed for renovation, since easy pub dining was one of our main reasons for choosing this property, But there are other pubs a short taxi ride away and a good taxi service.

Absolutely top notch !

By Catherine B. on 06-Sep-2018

The property couldn't have been any better. The rooms are spacious and everything is provided. The separate utility room is especially welcome in damp weather. While the cottage is situated in a beautiful rural position, it is handy for Skipton's market and Castle, Keithley for the steam train to the Bronte sister's home of Haworth, Bolton Abbey and many more. We had a 3 and 5 year old with us and they especially liked Hesketh Farm, West of Bolton Abbey. It can be enjoyed indoors on a rainy day. There is also a kiddies playground area, across from the village school, within walking distance. Thank you Susan and Keith for a wonderful week.

Excellent property - Great stay!

By JS on 26-Aug-2018

Beckside Barn is a very lovingly converted and restored former barn. The accommodation is very well equipped and everything is there, what is needed. There is a nice garden that may be used. Skipton, the nearest town is within easy reach, and perfect for shopping or dining. Highly recommented! A big thanks to Sue and Keith for 7 great days.

A five star holiday cottage

By James F on 07-Jul-2018

Beckside Barn had everything we needed in a great holiday location, plenty of space in a tranquil and quite village situation. Well positioned to explore Skipton and the Dales beyond with many local walks for those non driving days. The accommodation is of the highest standard with loads of hot water at the beginning and end of the day. Great garden and patio catering for both adults and children alike. Fantastic hosts, we had a wonderful holiday here.

Great stay at the converted barn in Lothersdale

By Sander B on 15-May-2018

Stayed here for a week with the family. Great cozy house with nice attached garden. We were fortunate with the weather allowing for nice garden barbecues. The town itself is picturesque, located close to beautiful Skipton and right next to the Dales allowing for great trips mostly within 1 hours drive. Would definitely recommend staying here!

Very comfortable and well appointed. Nice walks from the doorstep including the Penine Way!

By David L on 05-May-2018

We had excellent weather for the week we stayed (May half term 2018). We used the property as a base for several pleasant walks and for meeting up with family. We have stayed in the Dales on many occasions before, but this property was just outside of the areas we were familiar with. We spent the bank holiday weekend walking straight from the house, including doing sections of the Pennine way, and we didn't need to get the car out. Lothersdale is a quiet little hamlet that gives the impression of being miles from anywhere, yet is only 10-15 mins drive from Skipton. One minor niggle was that the wifi was only useable in the lounge. Overall we had a great week.
