In the heart of the Gard Provençal, just below the ramparts of Lussan, one of France's ‘Plus Beaux Villages' lies the Mas de la Bousquette, a 500-year old French farmhouse full of captivating character and rustic charm. 3 gites, connected across terraces and set round the Roman style courtyard across from the owner’ house, are ideal for families or friends looking for individual space with extensive shared facilities.
Each gite has its own character but all include modern features such as Nespresso machines, Bluetooth speakers and iPads pre-loaded with lots of local information. Further homely touches include bathrobes, organic toiletries and even a picnic rug to take on relaxing days out. This is a delightful place where families or friends can gather together yet retain a little independence in their own cosy abodes. There are plenty of shared spaces for dining all together but each gite boasts its own kitchen and private terrace.
The setting is perfect – guests can enjoy landscaped gardens full of colour, a private pool in a lush walled garden as well as a characterful Roman-style inner courtyard where you can seek shade from the summer sun. Sit by the willow pond, lie back in a hammock, play boules or croquet or fire up the barbecue.
Several restaurants within walking distance. Lovely Uzès 20 minutes away. Centrally located for the Ardeche, Cevennes, Avignon and Nimes and the Pont du Gard.

The Murier (first floor, sleeps 2)

Fairytale villages

A beautiful place
By Annelies on 26-Jun-2021Mas de la Bousquette is a beautiful place. The building, the gites and garden are well maintained and of high quality. The hosts are very kind and helpful with good tips for things to do and see. We especially enjoyed the Table d'hote, the food, wine and company was great! We stayed in the Bergerie gite which is a large apartment. It's great to have some space inside to relax and that you have your own terrace. If you want you can have privacy. We had a great time with plenty of space and time to relax. We would recommend it to everyone who seeks a nice looking and quiet place.
Gorgeous
By Karen on 26-Sep-2020This is a gorgeous gîte run by gracious hosts, Kate and Graham. The gîte is. beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. Importantly, they are following covid guidelines and even going above and beyond the recommendations. For example, they were only letting out one of the gites while we were there to avoid having too many people in one place. The pool and surrounding garden a wonderful haven from the heat . The notes that accompany the gîte are perfect. They are well-written and accurate for the dining and sight-seeing options available in the area. We particularly enjoyed the apéro evening spent with Kate, Graham, their daughter and pets. It was truly a wonderful week and we highly recommend this gîte.
