Lilies is a delightful cottage that dates back to 1805 and still retains much of its original charm and character. It is located in a quiet position, just 15 minutes walk from the High Street of Lymington, an attractive coastal Georgian market town situated on the southern edge of the New Forest.

The cottage with its own beautiful gardens and private parking is perfectly located for exploring the delights of the New Forest and the South Coast. There are plenty of wonderful coastal and forest walks nearby.

Lymington is a renowned sailing resort with the old quay and marinas also just a short walk away from the cottage, as is the town centre, with its excellent selection of independent shops, pubs and restaurants.

Beautiful Cottage

By Mike & Karen Stapley on 10-May-2018

A beautiful place to stay and so convenient for Lymington town and exploring the New Forest area. 5 minutes walk to the centre of Lymington with all its amenities, restaurants, pubs and shops, quay and marina. New Forest walks and cycling on the doorstep together with other places of interest. Ron and Sonja very welcoming. Look forward to a return visit.

Absolutely Charming

By Nicole Meckel on 22-Jul-2017

We, two adults and a 9 year old child, stayed in Lilies Cottage for over two weeks and we can absolutely recommend it! It is a very cosy house, well equipped - everything was there to keep us going for the first few days without the need to go shopping immediately - and the cottage was very clean and tidy surrounded by a lovely garden. In Ron and Sonja we found very friendly and helpful hosts. They provide their guests with lots of information material about what to do and what to see in this beautiful area and they are very open to questions of all kind. We had a great time there. Lymington itself is not only a lovely little town with great restaurants and a splendid waterfront but also an ideal starting point for tours into the magic New Forest.

Great Base For A New Forest Holiday

By Susi D on 06-Jun-2016

Lilies is a delightful cottage set in a lovely location. It feels secluded and as if you are 'in the country' but a short walk takes you into Lymington town.
The cottage itself is well equipped, clean and well-maintained and the owners provide top notch customer service. Ron even saved us a table on the terrace at the Ship Inn on our first night in town!
The second bedroom is small but we managed fine with an adult-sized teen and a 9 year old sharing so don't let it put you off. The gardens are gorgeous - very secluded and perfect for a glass of wine in the evening sun or a BBQ (which is provided of course!)
Easy access to the forest and the south coast. We would highly recommend:
Pony hack from Burley Villa (15 mins drive) - great service and gentle ponies and we were treated to some close-up wild foals.
Beaulieu - a great day out. Something for everyone - expect to spend the whole day there. And take time to visit the nearby village of Beaulieu which is one of the prettiest we have ever visited.
Mudeford Sandbank - we took the little train to the beach but Ron recommends the ferry from Mudeford. Either way, this is an excellent beach - great views, very picturesque and not overcrowded (even on the hottest day of the holidays).

Amazing

By Darren Witham W on 22-Feb-2016

This is the most amazing cottage I've stayed in. It is so homely, comfortable, warm, quirky and just so nice. Ron was very welcoming on our arrival giving a 10 minute tour of his property including health and safety. I would recommend this property to anyone and I look forward

Fantastic Little Cottage In A Wonderful Location

By Dunken K on 07-Oct-2015

We were greeted by Ron, the owner, who was very welcoming and knowledgeable about the local area. Ron walked us around the cottage explaining how everything worked and where to mind your head! The cottage was very well equipped and had WiFi and tea, coffee, milk and biscuits! Everywhere was clean, tidy and warm.
Lillies Cottage is ideally located for a short 15 minute walk into Lymington which has some lovely little shops, a great market on Saturday (Superb fresh fish stall) and a lovely marina to stroll around with an ice cream!
At the top of the road, 1 minute walk, is The Monkey House which served AMAZING Sunday roast! Lillies is also well located for walking in The New Forest with lots of different trails nearby.
We would highly recommend Lillies Cottage for an idyllic and peaceful break.
Thank you Ron and Sonja for making our first family holiday so wonderful.

Just Perfect!

By Andy And Lynne on 13-Jun-2014

Our stay at Lilies Cottage, was nothing short of perfect.
An idyllic little dwelling close to the centre of Lymington and the advantage of easy access to the abundant attractions that the New Forrest, Isle of Wight and Bournemouth have to offer.
To describe Lilies Cottage as a holiday let, really understates what it has to offer. We found the property to be a very well appointed and equipped a true home from home.
We made full use of the lovely secluded garden and courtyard areas, on the days when we just wanted to chill out with a cold glass of wine or a beer and a good book.
Our hosts, Ron and Sonia, were extremely helpful and informative about the area in general and provided excellent guidance on where to visit, eat and drink (if you don’t want to cater for yourself in the cottage kitchen).
We were much later arriving than planned at the cottage on our first day and took advantage of the nearest pub, the Monkey House, just a few minutes walk from the cottage. We found the service and food excellent as well as being good value for money.
We feel confident that Lilies Cottage will not disappoint - we have already booked our second visit.
