Black Hill View is a quiet bungalow, in a row of similar properties, on the edge of Manaton, close to Becky Falls, in the heart of Dartmoor National Park, five miles from Bovey Tracey. The property is warm, comfortably furnished.
You do need a car to fully enjoy the area but once you arrive at the property, you can leave it in your parking slot and walk from the door straight up to the moor. There are many lovely places to visit by car, however, just a short distance away.

There are large windows and French doors to a small, south-facing balcony, which catches all the sun, even in winter.

Ideal for two people, though the sofa bed in the sitting area can accommodate two children or one adult.

The small galley kitchen is very well -equipped but the closeness of the Kestor Inn, a quiet pub, means you don't even have to, as meals are served there Wed to Sunday in winter and 7 days a week in summer. Many of our guests say, how welcoming the landlord and his wife are. The food served is delicious and reasonably priced.

Favourite walking routes can start from the front door to, for example: Becky Falls is a short walk away. The Bowerman's Nose, Hay Tor and Hound Tor are all accessible from the front door.

The sea-side resorts of Teignmouth and Torbay, are both within 45 minutes' drive.
Bovey Tracey is 4.5 miles away where there are plenty of shops, an ATM and several cafes plus a lovely pub- The Cromwell Arms and The Dolphin Hotel, which both serve good food.

Guests often comment that they haven't had enough time to see everything there is to see.

We have been letting this property for 12 years and are glad to give you a chance to enjoy the many delights of Dartmoor in a quiet peaceful setting.

Enjoyed our stay at Black Hill View. We found the accommodation comfortable,clean and had everything we needed including a torch to use walking to the excellent Kestor Inn which was only 20yards away ! Nice views from the property which was quiet with good parking.There are many lovely walks from the house which is situated in a lovely part of Dartmoor,convenient for days out to Widecombe,Newton Abbot,Dartmouth etc.
We recommend Black Hill View very highly.

We have stayed at Black Hill View on a number of occasions at different times of the year. We have always had a warm welcome and a cosy cottage on arrival. The area is beautiful and the views from the cottage are stunning. The bed is very comfortable and we always feel well rested and relaxed after our stays in this beautiful area. We will be visiting again in the near future.

A Place For All Seasons

We have stayed at this apartment on several occasions at different times of the year and no doubt we will be returning.
The apartment is warm, cosy and comfortable and has everything you need for a short or long stay.
The spectaular view can be enjoyed from inside due to the picture windows and outside from the sunny balcony.
The bed is comfortable and it’s so quiet we always sleep well.
The newly refurbished bathroom adds a touch of luxury and the kitchen is well-equipped.
We hope to return soon for the excellent walking and relaxation.
