The perfect destination to escape, relax and unwind away from pressures of city life.
Sorry, but we don't accept pets.

Character cottage with private garden sleeping up to 6 people. Stable Cottage has commanding sea views across sheep grazed fields. Stable Cottage has its own private garden and parking, all set within the grounds of Llainfran House. This is a place to escape the noise of the city and to rediscover the natural rural environment offering both peaceful and restful escape. Inside there is an open plan sitting room, kitchen and dining area with feature inglenook fireplace with wood burning stove. Views from the kitchen, bedrooms and garden terrace are of open sheep grazed pasture, a small wildlife lake and across the open sea of Cardigan Bay.

Guests are welcome to walk around the grounds of Llainfran, say hello to the chickens and sheep, or sit by the wildlife pond to watch the birdlife. Our location just 20 minutes walk from the Wales Coast Path and secluded coves and beaches is the envy of many and a key reason why our guests return again and again. Wildlife is abundant with Red Kites, Seals and Dolphins frequent visitors to this beautiful and lesser known part of West Wales. Cwmtydu cove is our local beach and the coastal village of New Quay, famous as the home of Dylan Thomas, is just 3 miles away with its sweep of sandy beaches, fishing Quay, cafes and restaurants. To the south there are more hidden coves and beaches to discover, as well as the historic market town of Cardigan with its recently restored castle

Llainfran is in a peaceful rural coastal location and not directly on any main bus routes or close to rail stations. There is however, a local bus that links New Quay to Cardigan via the many small coves and beaches along the Cardigan Bay coast. This passes within a 700m walk of Stable Cottage at Llainfran on a twice daily basis. The closest railway stations are Aberystwyth to the north (45mins drive), and Carmarthen to the south (40mins drive). There are regular bus services between Carmarthen and Aberystwyth via Aberaeron, and between Cardigan, New Quay and Aberystwyth. There are several good local taxi firms.

Since we live in the main house at Llainfran, both Gary and I make sure that we are available as much or as little as our guests require to make your stay as enjoyable and as relaxing as possible.

Why not book Tydu View Cottage next door at the same time to sleep up to 10 people for a family holiday to remember.

Spent four days at Stable Cottage and sadly wish I had booked the whole week. As a family we would have really liked to stay on longer and are planning our next trip already. The cottage is so pretty, and a glass of wine in front of the log burner is a must. Could not have asked for more - Hosts are excellent, cottage is perfect and setting is beyond pretty.
