Zenith is a new block of luxury apartments situated on the stunning North coast of Cornwall. Five minutes walk down the road is Porth beach; a sheltered beach that has a long tidal drop with an expanse of golden sand making it an ideal for families. Watergate Bay is close by and home to Jamie Oliver’s Fifteen restaurant. The fishing village of Padstow with Rick Steins' restaurants, plus Cornwall’s best attractions such as the Eden project, the National Maritime Museum, the Lost Gardens of Heligan and Land's End are all within easy reach. Newquay town centre is about 2 miles away. The balcony provides views over Porth Island and Porth Beach to Newquay harbour and the headland beyond. Directly opposite the apartments, is Whipsiderry beach where there are caves and rock pools to explore. It is accessed via steps down the cliff and connects to Watergate Bay at low tide. Zenith offers easy access to some amazing coastal walks enabling you to take in some of the most stunning scenery Cornwall has to offer.

There are numerous good pubs and restaurants in the area with a number of gourmet restaurants within easy driving distance.

About us:
We are a semi-retired couple who, after looking for a holiday home in many exotic locations in Europe, decided that North Cornwall was hard to beat.

A perfect retreat by the sea!

A beautiful and comfortable apartment overlooking the dramatic Cornish coastline. The apartment was extremely clean and very comfortable. I particularly enjoyed my morning coffee sitting on the balcony watching the waves crash against the rocks on Porth beach. The apartment is in a very convenient location and you can easily walk along the coastal path to both Newquay town centre and Watergate Bay.

Happy Holiday in Cornwall

We had a most enjoyable week, the apartment and view were great and very restful. We went out and about, Padstow been one of the highlights and generally enjoyed the beaches and walks. Cannot fault the apartment a most pleasure place to stay and well equipment, will be happy to recommend to any of our friends.

Great apartment, great location

The apartment was superb, furnished to a high standard with quality appliances. We were greeted with a card and vino on arrival. The apartment was very clean with beds made and fresh towels. We really couldn't have asked for more, with smart tv , wifi and dvd, late evening was not a problem. Although we didn't need them, there were chairs, bodyboards and windbreaks in the surf cage in the car park. If you get stuck,all the handbooks for the appliances are in a folder with other useful info about the area. Although the steps to the beach opposite are not for the faint hearted, it is definitely worth the climb, the beach is superb at low tide, just don't get cut off as the tide comes in! For an easier walk, Porth beach is just down the hill, so you don't even need to get the car out. The location is great for going up and down the coast to some superb beaches without being in the bustle of Newquay itself. Newquay takes about 10 mins in car and we parked easily at Mount Wise car park, but I would get there before 10 am We really enjoyed our stay here and I would recommend this apartment to anyone.

Immaculate holiday apartment

We were delighted with the apartment - stayed with my partner & 2 teenage boys, plenty big enough for us all. It was very clean and well equipped for a holiday stay. The kitchen has all the utensils you needs even for someone who likes to cook from scratch like me! Some welcome touches such as luxury towels and the items you always forget for the kitchen - salt and pepper, oil as well as washing up liquid, tea towels and soap at all the sinks - thank you. Comfortable beds and plenty of wardorbe / storage space. A fabulous location for the beach (although the weather didn't lend itself to sunbathing whilst we were there!) and some lovely local walks. Plenty of information about local attractions in the apartment and even ordnance survey maps for walkers. Lovely coastal walks from the accommodation. The folder of local information about shops etc was also very welcome. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony reading and watching the tide come in and out. Very relaxing, if a little blustery at times! The tide clock in the apartment was an interesting touch. The teenagers were grateful of the WiFi and enjoyed cards with the poker chips. The off street parking is a big plus. There is equipment in the locked cage there for the beach (although we didn't use this) but couldn't see any wetsuits. We had a nice meal at Lewinnick lodge (booked online in advance) and the fish and chips from the holiday park, 800m away, were amazing & reasonably priced. We would happily recommend this apartment. Arrangement for collecting keys and security was excellent.

Amazing views from a beautiful apartment!

My family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the apartment! It was like a home from home with all the equipment you could ask for and more. The surf cage was really useful to store all the beach equipment that comes with 2 boys who love body boarding. The views are amazing with a stunning smaller beach directly opposite the apartment, with a larger beach just a stroll down the road. This was an ideal base to enjoy this beautiful part of cornwall.

Quality apartment close to the beach

This is a gem of a place. Good views of the sea, quality furnishings, nice and clean. Great detailed instructions on where and how to get in and how things work. Five minute walk to the beach down the hill. Loved it, will be back!

Lovely apartment

Booking arrangements were easy and arrival instructions were clear. Underground car park was great but we have a long car and getting out of the tight exit required a steely nerve (if you value your alloys wheels) with only an inch of two to spare each side! The apartment is very clean, one of the cleanest places I have rented. The decor is modern, linen is good, sofas and beds are comfortable, kitchen is well equipped. Cage to store stuff in the car park was great and it was perfect being able to use Tom's chairs and windbreaks. Whipsiderry beach is lovely (no lifeguards), Porth is more family orientated but still less busy that the town beaches. Watergate bay is great. Had nice meal at the Beach Hut at Watergate (very busy - you need to book) and also at Lewinnick Lodge on the Pentire headland at Fistral. The cafe next to Wax at Watergate does nice ice cream and chips/pasties etc. We kayaked at Fowey (with Fowey Kayak Hire) and cycled the camel trail from Snails Pace cafe (where we hired bikes) at Wenford Bridge to Wadebridge (about 18 miles each way). Booked surf lesson with Fistral Beach Surf School. Great Instructor, Dan, and my daughter and her friend were the only 2 in the lesson so private lesson for the price of a group one! visited Padstow one evening, very busy and 400 people there eating Rick Stein's take away fish and chips around the harbour. We left after an hour but no doubt Padstow is lovely out of season. Would highly recommend this apartment.

Everything we needed for a wonderful family holida

From booking to the end of our holiday, our stay was lovely. The location is superb, overlooking two sandy beaches, and the little balcony allowed us to appreciate the views. From a practical side, the arrangements were stress-free, and the private underground parking was priceless. Having stayed in Newquay before and played the Russian roulette of on-street parking, the knowledge that we could go out for the day without losing our spot (especially with children) was great. The surf cage in the car park was a nice touch, and very well-equipped with beach chairs, wind-breaks and bodyboards - which could make flying to Newquay airport a possibility without the burden of carrying your own. The apartment itself is stunning - spotlessly clean and comfortable - and the attention to detail was very much appreciated. From the welcome bottle on arrival to the comfy beds, high-spec bathrooms and DVD library, we felt at home straight away. We've stayed in self-catering flats / houses before, and always had to take bulky towels with us, so having them provided was great. In the past, we have rented places where there was not a scrap of loo roll, washing-up liquid or tea towels to be found anywhere - which after a long journey, make all the difference! The kitchen is the best I've seen in a holiday property. We're keen cooks so having proper non-stick saucepans and good quality utensils was wonderful. Even the cutlery and crockery was of restaurant quality (and plenty of wine glasses!!) and the folder of instruction manuals was incredibly useful. Underneath the television there is a wealth of information about the flat and local attractions - there are even OS maps for keen walkers! Thank you, Tom, for your consideration and attention to detail. I only have one criticism - and this concerns the building's management company rather than the owner of the apartment. There are no recycling facilities in the basement, and having visited the area's many cider farms to sample the local produce, having a bottle bank, at least, would have been appreciated! Tips: the beach just opposite the flat is much nicer and quieter than Porth beach down the hill (but beware of the very steep steps) and it's worth walking over to Lusty Glaze Beach Restaurant for a lovely meal (15 min walk over Porth beach and along the coastal path towards the three long banners you can see from the balcony). Head to Wadebridge to hire bikes to follow the Camel trail.

Excellent stay.highly recommended

Number 9 Zenith was in an excellent location, very clean and beautifully presented. Situated on the outskirts of Newquay is, in my opinion, a much nicer place to stay. It was very close to Whipsiderry and Porth beaches which the surfers amoungst us found very useful. The underground car park was secure and has surf cages to keep boards and beach equipment. The apartment has 2 bathrooms, which was very convenient after a trip to the beach. The kitchen had everything you could possibly need and the WiFi worked well. We had a great holiday.
