Description
Welcome to Robin Hill Farm Cottages.
Bring family and friends: choose your cottage (maybe combine with another); explore the wildflowers and wildlife around our grounds, pasture and stream lined wood; play or sit outdoors and make new friends; swim or soak in our indoor pool; star-gaze the dark night skies.
Views from Swallow Cottage are stunning, looking either east from the kitchen toward the morning sun and the fields that surround Robin HIll Farm or south from the living space over the play area. A first floor cottage, it is light and bright and very popular with young families and couples.
Once the hayloft, it is now a compact cottage with open plan kitchen/diner/lounge and the old barn's exposed stone walls and roof trusses on view. Access is via an external staircase from the centre of the cottage courtyard. Swallow Cottage comes with a small close by fully enclosed private garden with BBQ patio. Double and bunk bedrooms, with limited cot space, are lit through Velux windows. Separate family bathroom has shower over bath. The gate at the top of the stairs bolts closed to keep your little ones safe. Swallow Cottage is not suitable for dogs (other cottages on site are dog friendly).
In all there are six cottages here (Swallow; Three that sleep 6 - one of these is dog friendly; and Two more that sleep 4 - both of these are dog friendly) plus shared leisure facilities on site. Available in 2021 : heated indoor pool with private swims; outdoor play; laundry and 14 acres of tranquil nature filled pasture and woodland to explore.
We are situated 3 miles outside Bideford Town facilities and only 4 miles from the coast and Blue Flag beach at Westward Ho! Nearby are the heritage sites of Clovelly, Hartland Abbey and Gardens at RHS Rosemoor, Marwood Hill and Tapeley Park. The Coast Path or Tarka Trail Cycle Path are easily accessible and there are many options for adrenaline junkies from Wake Boarding, High Ropes, Paint balling, Coasteering, Abseiling and Rock Climbing to Sea Kayaking and Surfing. Fun places to visit include The Big Sheep, Milky Way, Exmoor Zoo and the very special Gnome Reserve. North Devon has a vibrant food offering in family run cafes, pubs and restaurants.
