Pebbles is part of a lovingly converted and decorated Grade II listed barn (Rowden Court) situated in private grounds half a mile from the stunning village of Noss Mayo. It sleeps 2 people comfortably, offering a high standard of accommodation over 2 floors.
The history of Rowden Court goes back to the 1870s when Lord Revelstoke (formerly Edward Baring of the Baring Brothers Bank) spent a large amount of money on his Membland Hall estate, consisting of 4,000 acres of South Hams countryside surrounding his Jacobean mansion at Membland. This included building a 10 mile coastal carriage drive for his wife, along which walks can still be enjoyed. Access to the drive and the stunning coast path is a short distance from Pebbles.
Rowden Court was originally a range of farm outhouses. In order to preserve their architectural merit, permission was granted to convert them in the late 1980s.
Dartmoor is a short drive away, while the beautiful estuary of the River Erme and Mothecombe beach are also only a couple of miles from Pebbles with 130 acres of sand at low tide.
A quarter of a mile down the lane from Pebbles is Stoke Beach, a secluded cove which at low tide gives access to a series of sheltered coves with rockpools and caves and views to Burgh Island and beyond.
