Overview
Description
A gorgeous, renovated, very spacious luxury ski chalet (182m2) located in the small and traditional Savoyarde village of Peisey-Nancroix. Nestled right at the heart of the old village, it is a quiet location without loud nightlife but with a boulangerie and small supermarket as well as a couple of bars all close to the chalet. These are conveniently placed midway along the short 400m walk to the Lonzagne bucket lift, which links Peisey village directly to the Les Arcs area or the Vanoise Express.Sleeping 14 in 5 luxurious ensuite bedrooms, the renovation has been extremely sympathetic to a long history, retaining beams and ancient features, but complemented by stylish modern finishes in the bathrooms and the high end, large kitchen. Here the open kitchen/dining area includes a huge wooden table made from timber salvaged from the original building. The upstairs lounge is spacious and enjoys fabulous views down the valley from the floor to ceiling glass “A” frame that forms one side of the room. It is a perfect place to gather and relax after a days skiing on the huge squashy sofas in front of the stove. The pellet stove here not only keeps the lounge extra cosy, but helps to provide the underfloor heating throughout the chalet. There is also additional electric provision for the underfloor heating and hot water.
Peisey-Nancroix is part of the Peisey-Vallandry resort in the Les Arcs ski area. This is then part of the huge Paradiski domain, one of the largest ski domains in the world and with fabulous pistes for all abilities, from protected nursery slopes for beginners to learn without pressure to some of the best black runs with the longest descents in the world and superb off piste opportunities. There is a skibus stop 40m from the building linking to the village lift or to the nordic ski centre at Pont-Baudin, or it is a short 400m walk to the Lozange bucket lift in the village, linking to Plan Peisey. From here there is a choice of the fast 6-seater chairlift direct to the heart of Les Arcs area or the Vanoise Express linking les Arcs with la Plagne - the two main areas making up the enormous Paradiski domain. Both lifts are within a few steps from the top of the Lonzange lift, as well as ESF for lessons. Peisey itself is perfectly situated at the centre of the two areas offering the very widest of choices for skiing.

Leave ReviewComfort and luxury
By Jack S on 09-Feb-2020"I couldn’t recommend Deer Lodge enough. This year was our second year in a row and we’re hoping to go for a third next year! The lodge itself is beautifully decorated, extremely cosy and the perfect place to come back and relax after a long day on the slopes. The upstairs living area looks out through a huge floor-to-ceiling window on the side of a snow-tree mountain and has comfy sofas to nest in with a nice bottle of wine. The bedrooms are very nice too, all complete with en-suites. The boot drying room is also incredibly useful for having toasty feet in the mornings! The lodge is about a 10 minute walk from the ‘lobster pot’ lift that takes you up to the bottom of the main ski lifts. The walk from the lodge to the pot lift is through a quaint French village, complete with an Inter Sport (for your ski hire), bakery, butcher, convenience store, cheese monger and a restaurant/bar. It has everything you’d need. We also used Chloe’s Catering for our stay, with chalet hosting provided by Mel – would thoroughly recommend using this service too. 10/10"
Amicalement. MR BOEY SERGE"
