Perfect stay!

By Castruccio & Yolande on 29-Jul-2021

Gorgeous cottage inside and out, with the most wonderful location overlooking Port Isaac. The pictures don't do it justice - it's beautifully done, with neutral interiors and a cosy vibe (mind your head on the doorways though ouch!). There's a rather steep hill and narrow roads to drive up to park outside the cottage, but if you take it slowly you'll be fine- there's also room to turn around at the top of the hill if you are a bit afraid of navigating your way through people! We hadn't actually seen Doc Martin, so it was really sweet and amusing to see excited people waving at us and hoping we were Martin Clunes (sorry to disappoint). Shirley was great and helped us with everything we needed, recommendations and directions. The only comment we had was please leave the hot water on when people arrive! Cold showers after a rain storm was rather bracing :)

There are no words to describe how wonderful our stay was! The home owner is very easy to communicate with. The property was beautiful and had all the amenities that one would need. Only thing we would change is that we should have stayed two weeks instead of one!!

It was a Fun Stay We had a great time here. Since you give up privacy staying in this cottage whilst filming is going on, it is also a fun place to stay when they are filming at the cottage itself. We met Martin and Caroline and got to see Martin work with Buddy. Shirley was responsive to our needs. The only suggestion I have is to have a small trash bin in each bedroom which would make it easier for makeup etc.
