A warm welcome and a cream tea await your arrival at Badgers Holt which is situated next to the farm house of Buller Farm a relaxing, peaceful place in the centre of West Cornwall with direct access from the farm gate to bridleways and cycle paths which traverse the county giving many miles of walking or riding without using roads, ideal for exploring Cornwall's mining heritage which is now listed as a World Heritage Site. It is central for the beaches on both North and South Coasts, as well as Stithians lake for fishing and water sports, golf courses, a riding school a couple of hundred metres from the gate for lessons or hacks, Bissoe Bike Hire for exploring the old mining trails, The Eden Project and many other gardens and attractions.
The south facing sliding glass doors lead to a terrace which is a sun trap, here you can relax with garden chairs and table and a bar-b-cue. First bag of charcoal is supplied. The large secluded back garden is for the sole use of the guests of Badgers Holt. From the front window you can watch the badgers which come up to the house to forage for peanuts each night, they can usually be seen just after dusk each night. We can't guarantee that you will see them as they are wild animals, but all guests have seen them so far (see reviews). If you visit facebook.com/badgersholt you will be able to view a video of a badger rolling a hens egg across the lawn, recorded by one of our guests from the sitting room window. Being newly built for 2014 Badgers Holt has all of the home comforts that you would expect from a first class holiday let. The fully tiled bathroom has a full size bath as well as a separate shower cubicle. Towels for washing are supplied as well as towels for the beach. The accommodation is flexible with one bedroom having a king size bed and the other with zip-link beds to give two 3 ft singles or one super king bed. A cot can be provided on request. There are televisions with dvd players in the bedrooms and sitting room. There are comfortable leather settees to relax on in front of the new generation gas log effect fire which is very realistic and gets as hot as a log burner but without the mess. When accompanied by the owners you will be able to visit the horses in the yard or fields and the chickens, ducks and geese. Fresh eggs straight from the nest boxes available. There is plenty of room for parking for those who wish to bring a trailer or boat. Also there is a container lock-up which can be used to store bikes, surf boards etc. For rates please visit our own website. It's usually best to contact Anne on her mobile number as both she and Graham spend most of their time outside.
Lovely Place To Stay

We had a wonderful week at Badger’s Holt. The Bungalow was well equipped, clean and comfortable. The fresh eggs and cream tea on arrival were very well received. We loved watching the badgers coming to collect their peanuts every evening. The property is in a very central location so we were able to visit lots of different places, including St Ives, Lands End, St Michaels Mount, and many more. Our favourite beach was Chapel Porth; home of the famous hedgehog ice creams. Definitely worth a visit! Thanks to Anne and Graham for their friendly hospitality.

We have just spent a fabulous week staying at Badgers Holt. We were welcomed by Anne & Graham and we were not disappointed. The accommodation was immaculate and well stocked with all the basic items needed and more including fresh eggs. It is central to visiting both north and southern Cornwall. We visited the Levant and Bottallick mines which were spectacular,Falmouth, Bodmin jail and courthouse to name a few.Every night we were visited by the lovely badgers, three on one night. The setting at Badgers Holt is beautiful, so peaceful but with Redruth a five minute drive away. A lot of thought and care has been put into this lovely holiday home. I would definitely recommend staying here and hope we can return one day in the future. Thank you Anne & Graham, wishing you the very best for the future.xxx

"It is really important to us that our guests have a wonderful time and a review like yours means so much to us. As I write this there are 3 badgers eating their nightly peanuts. We have just returned from our second stay at Badgers Holt and again we really enjoyed our visit. The cottage was just as clean and comfortable as ever, a real home from home. It was a perfect base from which to explore West Cornwall, with places such as Kynance Cove, Gunwalloe, Botallack and Porthleven all within reasonable driving distance. Anne and Graham were once again so friendly and welcoming. It was a great treat to meet their horses again including a new resident, Mickey, who is very friendly. The badgers showed up every night without fail and were a real joy to watch. The cottage is so peaceful and a lovely, secluded retreat in which you can really relax and feel at home. We can't recommend Badgers Holt enough and will definitely return for a third visit!

Badgers Holt was just what we were looking for. A 2 bed bungalow, all on one level (I went with my elderly mother). We had parking and everything was very convenient. The Bungalow itself was generously proportioned with two good sized double bedrooms, plus a large open-plan lounge, kitchen, diner. We had views out the front (where we did see a badger one evening) and French doors out the back, with a large private garden for our use (if it hadn't been November!!). We had a properly stocked kitchen, which enabled us to cook a roast dinner, and a dishwasher so we didn't have to do all the washing up. The property was large enough for us to move around with ease, was warm and cosy with central heating but also a lovely gas-fired wood-burner effect stove. All in all a lovely property and we will definitely be back to visit in the future.
So pleased that you enjoyed your holiday in Badgers Holt and that everything was suitable for Dora (your elderly mother). The badgers were there every night, it's just a case of watching out for them.In the summer you can nearly set your watch by them. We look forward to seeing you again in 2018. Anne and Graham.

WONDERFUL PLACE TO STAY
By Angela M on 28-Feb-2017
We stayed in Badgers Holt Feb 19th to Feb 26th 2017. From the moment we arrived I knew we were in for a great week. The cottage was absolutely spotless, we felt like we were the first ever visitors. Anne & Graham made us feel very welcome and showed us where everything was and how everything worked. They also provided a cream tea, eggs, milk coffee & tea to start us off. The weather was dreadful but in a way we were glad as this gave us reason to have the fire on in the evening and what a lovely feature it was, The added bonus was the nightly visit from the badgers right in front of the cottage and the birds during the day. We look forward to staying again cannot praise the cottage and its lovely owners enough ~ thank you for a wonderful week :0)
Fantastic Property In A Great Location
By Lee J on 05-Sep-2016
Badger's Holt is one of the nicest places we have ever stopped in. The property is immaculate it's clean, tidy and well equipped. Anne and Graham are great hosts, they are around but not intrusive like some owners we have come across from time to time. The property has a lovely secluded garden which is a real sun trap, and the swingball kept us occupied!!! From a location point of view Badger's Holt is a perfect base to explore Cornwall, 20 minutes to Falmouth and St Ives and around 45 mins to Lands End/Lizard point. We will definitely be stopping here again next time we holiday in Cornwall.

We had perfect holidays in Badgers Holt, the property very well equiped, clean and right in the middle of Cornwell, so all destination which we want to visit have been not more than 1 hour away. Anne and Graham have been very lovely and nice to us, we had every evening the chance to watch 1-3 Badgers they visited the property at 22:30 (+- 15min :-) ) We love to come back, Thank you very much indeed. Peace And Quiet In The Cornish Countryside
By Catherine J on 27-Mar-2016
We chose to stay at Badgers Holt because it is very near where our daughter lives but it is actually well placed for visiting the north and south coast. The Bungalow is impressive set in lovely peaceful surroundings with the added attraction of the nightly visits of the badgers who feed on the lawn in front of the bungalow. Anne and Graham are very welcoming and have fitted out the Bungalow to a high standard with all you could need. We were lucky with the weather and were able to take advantage of the footpaths in the area.

We stayed at Badgers holt recently, whilst visiting relatives in the area.Anne and Graham are two of the nicest and most genuine people you could ever wish to meet. The Bungalow was perfect in every way and we can"t wait to come again in 2016
By Alex B on 13-Aug-2015
we had the most amazing 2 weeks at this delightful cottage. Great location to explore all parts of Cornwall with ease. The owners, Anne & Graham are so warm and friendly - they are there on hand if needed but never in your way. The kids loved the beautiful back garden where we made the most of utilising the bbq and the swing ball that Anne provided. The cottage itself is immaculate and had everything we needed for our family of four. A treat to see the Badgers each evening - regular as clockwork! We would definitely like to return to this gem.
A Restful Setting And Very Kind Hosts
By Helen B on 27-Jul-2015
This is a lovely property - just as described, it is peaceful and beautifully presented. Anne and Graham were wonderful hosts, always ready to give advice and to let us know when the badgers were around. The central position is excellent for those interested in visiting a range of different beaches, walking stretches of the coastal path or cycling on the many routes accessible from the front door. The cycle routes were ideal for exploring the amazing mining heritage of the Redruth area. Access to Falmouth, Truro and St. Ives was easy. We wish we could have stayed longer and explored more!
Three 'P's' : Peace, Privacy And Perfection
By Anne D on 17-Jun-2015
This lovely Bungalow is exactly as described in the advert. It is a haven to return to at the end of a day touring. It is truly a home from home. Beautiful garden front and back and lashings of wildlife. Countryside and great views surround the farm whilst the town of Redruth is only a five minute drive to buy groceries. Nobody will ever regret choosing Badgers Holt as their holiday accommodation.
By Dot And Colin on 07-May-2015
We had lived in Cornwall for 20 years and after 8 years away, we wanted to catch up with friends and get some much needed R&R. Badgers Holt is a perfect location for exploring West Cornwall, with easy access to the A30, Truro and Falmouth. The accommodation is modern and perfect, as are the facilities and the outdoor spaces, including the lovely private garden to the rear. Anne and Graham are the perfect hosts, that are there to please, without intruding; nothing is too much trouble. Five stars are well justified and nobody should be disappointed. Colin & Dot.

If you are looking for peace and quiet on your holiday you will not be disappointed. From the moment you arrive with the welcome from Anne & Graham, "with cream tea's" to the time you leave you will be totally relaxed. You are situated centrally for easy travel to anywhere in Cornwall, the sea is just 5 miles to the north coast and 6 miles to the south. Redruth and Camborne are very close for local amenities. You will be treated to a wonderful array of birdlife with the bonus of a nightly show from the badgers.

We were treated to a lovely welcome with a Cornish Cream Tea. Anne & Graham will do anything to make your stay even more enjoyable. Then the added bonus of the wildlife with nightly visits from the badgers right outside your window. Centrally located to visit anywhere in Cornwall. Highly recommended

New Year Celebrated At Badgers Holt
By JJ on 02-Jan-2015
We have just returned from our New Year break at Badgers Holt, chilled and relaxed ready to start the new year. This holiday luxurious cottage really is a little gem, so peaceful and quiet, cosy with the wood burner, ideal location to explore Cornwall from, lots of farm animals and wild life including badgers coming out onto the lawns at night which was an amazing once in a lifetime experience. The owners Anne and Graham made us so very welcome and ensured we enjoyed our stay. Thoroughly recommend this holiday let especially for nature lovers who appreciate the peace and quiet suitable for couples and families. This is now our favourite holiday retreat and we will return later this year.

We have returned from an amazing holiday at Badgers Holt. Anne and Graham were wonderful hosts, very helpful and great with our two children. I would definitely recommend this property to anyone, very modern, clean and there is everything you need to make your holiday very comfortable. The badgers were amazing, great to see in the wild, thanks must go to Anne and Graham for feeding them and letting us know that they were there by text so we didn't miss them. We were very central for all attractions and will definitely be back next year.
By Batty J on 15-Sep-2014
Such a sweet cottage - very stylishly furnished and also very comfortable & spotless. Anne and Graham are lovely people. Anne texted us as soon as the badger arrived so we didn't spend ages waiting at the window! Excellent position - central to so many places. Good quality shower and bedside lamps you can actually read by!!

Just spent a fantastic week in Cornwall. Cottage was first class; brilliant accomodation - Anne and Graham were really welcoming. Cream tea on arrival was most welcome and a great way to start the holiday. Cottage was really peaceful surrounded by wildlife; could watch the birds feeding whilst having breakfast and there were badgers to watch feeding on the lawn in the evening. Cottage is ideally placed to access all areas of Cornwall- Tall Ships at Falmouth well worth a visit; great surfing at Gwithian and Porthtowan though parking is difficult at the latter. The Watermill at Hayle provides good food at a reasonable price. Try Windsurfing or other water activities at the Lake at Stithians. Hope to be back next year.
Great Stay At Badgers Holt
By Julie Hale on 16-Aug-2014
We have recently returned home after a wonderful holiday at Badgers Holt. Anne and Graham are warm and welcoming and are on hand if there are any problems. The accommodation is great and very comfortable, it has everything you need. There was a cream tea with homemade jam for us and some fresh eggs laid by Anne's hens which was lovely. We were lucky to see badgers on 5 of the nights we were there, we also saw a fox and some bats and loads of birds on the feeders. There was so much to do in the area that we will definitely be back to visit the places we didn't get round to this time.

We have just returned from a lovely week at Badger's Holt. The accommodation is excellent, clean, well-equipped more than adequate for a family of four. Anne and Graham were extremely welcoming and the cream tea on arrival was a lovely touch. There were on hand if we needed them but certainly not intrusive. The location is idyllic, quiet but within easy access of both north and south Cornwall coasts. We cycled along the old tin mine trails which are very close by and were able to visit a variety of different coastal resorts. Watching the badgers in the evening was a highlight for us. Many thanks to Anne and Graham

We've just come back from a wonderful week at Badgers Holt. The owners, Anne and Graham, are really friendly and very welcoming and on hand if you need anything - which we didn't as all you need for a great holiday is provided. The cottage was just finished when we stayed - we were the second to use it - and the standard is superb! The location is incredibly tranquil, a very quiet spot - and you can see the sea on a clear day. There is a lovely garden and patio area, a real sun trap. We loved seeing all the rabbits in the fields in the evenings as we returned form our day trips. You could be miles from civilization but in fact the property is only about a mile out of Redruth so that local amenities are on hand (supermarket, local shops, banks, pubs, eating places etc). Also you are within easy striking distance of the tip of Cornwall and all it has to offer, so the Lizard, Land's End, St Ives, Perranporth, Newquay, Falmouth and the estuary, Eden Project, St Michael's Mount, Penzance, Helston and all the stunning National Trust properties, coastline, cliff walks and beaches of course are all within an hour and most only half an hour away. We had a fantastic holiday and there was still so much more we could have visited that I'm sure we will be back!
