The house has a wealth of character and charm plus a fascinating history; the oldest part of the house is Georgian (1676) - not overly large but very spacious to feel relaxed and comfortable, and especially cosy during the autumn and winter months . In the spring/ summer you can relax in the interesting award winning garden or during autumn/winter with a log fire in the large lounge; as well as enjoy the elegant dining room. External catering can be pre-booked via our website booking system..
The ground floor Day Room can also be a bedroom, has a sofa bed and futon. A small conservatory attached overlooks the garden and has an access door. Alongside the Day Room is a bathroom with separate shower/wet area and a toilet.
Dining room can seat 22, NOTE: the seating is not static so guests can arrange their own design to suit the group and the event. Plus the kitchen/breakfast room has table seating up to 8 (useful for young families). High chairs available.
Kitchen has good range of cooking facilities. 2 oven Aga - (note: only on during months of October to March). Eye level double electric ovens and grill. 4 ring gas hob, and 2 electric rings. Plus 2 microwaves - one of which is convection and grill. Fridge/freezer and cupboards containing utensils equipment, and china sufficient for catering for 24 people.
The utility contains a dishwasher, washing machine and tumble dryer. From October 2018 there will also be a free standing electric cooker in the Utility.
On the first floor - the majestic Monmouth Suite has an unique king size 4 poster bed as well as a Victorian bathroom complete with large roll top bath.
The spacious Hunter Suite, overlooking farmland can accommodate a family of 4, with a large shower ensuite.
