There is ample off-road parking for two cars at the front of the cottage.
At the rear there is a pretty walled garden, with lawn and decking area, including table and chairs. A swing ball set on the lawn, and ping-pong table in the summer-house will keep younger visitors amused..

Surrounding area
Picton Cottage is ideally situated for holidays all year round. Sheringham town centre is a short ten-minute walk away, with its popular beach, twice weekly market, busy High Street full of independent shops, and of course the Poppy Line - the North Norfolk Steam Railway.
The excellent Coast Hopper bus stops a few metres from the cottage, and a convenience store next-door supplies all your every day requirements. The Dunstable Arms on the other side is friendly and serves good pub with a carvery on Sundays.
North Norfolk has such a wealth of attractions and activities there is something to suit everyone. From walking, cycling and bird-watching, to golf on the local links course, fishing off nearby Weybourne beach, to visiting National Trust Properties. Norwich is less than an hour away by rail on the 'Bittern Line', and there are many attractive towns and villages to explore, with excellent pubs and restaurants serving local produce and sea-food. Take a boat-trip to watch seals on Blakeney Point or enjoy a swim at Splash Leisure Centre.. PLEASE NOTE: SHORT BREAKS MAY BE AVAILABLE, PLEASE ASK MARY FOR DETAILS AND A PRICE

By Ali on 27-Dec-2019

A very quaint cottage very Clean and Fresh! Very cosy with everything we needed. Conviently located with Town Centre 5 mins away, Tescos, shop and Public House (Dunstable Arms) right next door with good wholesome meals. Loved being in driving distance of Blakeney and Weybourne our favourite walking beaches. Thank you Mary for seeing if all was ok. Highly Recommend

Autumn Holiday

By The Corder family on 20-Oct-2018

We have recently returned from a wonderful week in Sheringham staying in Picton Cottage. The cottage is ideally situated in the outskirts of town and just a short walk to the town, coastal path (over Beeston Bump) and sea front. There is a pub and shop next door and used both during our stay; the pub food was very good, as was the Guinness! The cottage is very well equipped and is an ideal location all year round. The kitchen has everything that you are likely to need! Accommodation is a good size and was perfectly adequate for 2 adults, 3 teenagers and a dog. Mary (the owner) was very helpful and was just a phone call away if required. Booking was easy and hassle free. Overall we would recommend Picton Cottage and would not hesitate to stay there again in future. .
