This 4-bedroom holiday home faces across Morecambe Bay with steps from the garden down to the shore.

The views across the bay are stunning and ever changing – you’ll never get tired of the spectacle from the gardens and rooms at the rear of the house.

Beach Rise has been completely renovated to a high standard and now offers holiday accommodation for up to 7 guests and 2 well-mannered dogs, that stay at no extra cost.

Explore this area of outstanding natural beauty and the village of Silverdale that straddles the Cumbria/Lancashire border. This is a wonderful area for walking and bird-watching or simply sitting back, relaxing and enjoying the views!

Morecambe, home of the Art Deco Midland Hotel and designated site for the Eden Project North, is just 10 miles away with Carnforth, famed for the filming of Brief Encounter, en route.

Lake Windermere is only 21 miles by car, so days out by the sea, in the countryside and the Lake District are all within an easy drive. Or take the train from Silverdale to destinations north, south, east and west.

Beach Rise is available for weekly lets, with arrival on a Saturday.

Beach Rise looks across the bay towards Grange-over-Sands and enjoys many spectacular sunsets.

Children are welcome, as are one or two well-mannered dogs.

The house has recently been completely refurbished and decorated using colourful wallpapers and pretty fabrics to create an outstanding holiday home.

Two bedrooms with king size beds have views looking over the beach and sea, one with ensuite bathroom with full-size bath, loo and basin..

The twin and single bedrooms and family bathroom welcome the morning sun through east-facing windows.

Free-standing shower, full-sized bath, basin and loo are in the family bathroom, which has tiled floor and heated towel rail.

Downstairs the pretty living/dining room has views across the bay, comfortable lounge seating and a dining area that invites long, lingering meals and chat.

The well-fitted kitchen has patio doors to the seating area and garden, again looking across Morecambe Bay.

Lazy breakfasts are invited at the kitchen table, whilst watching the ebb and flow of the sea and making plans for the day.

Guests may play the piano in the 'Piano Room', where there is also a cupboard full of books, maps and games.

Entrance porch and utility room have tiled floors with access from the beach via a corridor - ideal for getting wet boots and paws back into the house without a mess!

At the front of the house there is parking for two cars accessed from a private road.

Steps lead down from the garden to the shore.

A short walk to the village centre, passing the welcoming Silverdale Hotel on the way, are the local butcher, antique shop, hairdreser, Co-op, chemist, post-office and newsagent.

A pub and cafe are also in the centre and a little further out is the Woodlands Hotel - a well-recommended pub in a large Victorian house. Dogs welcome and there is a rotating supply of real-ales. As one customer says, "A proper pub for talking and drinking".

There is an Indian restaurant at the heart of the village, which also offers very good takeaways.

The Silverdale train station on the edge of the town connects to the main lines or you can take a run along the Cumbrian coast.

Carnforth, Morecambe and Lancaster and villages in between are just a short drive.

Three Generation Family Holiday

We are going to miss this view"! What a stunning location. Come rain or shine, the sea and sky are mesmerising and truly captured our attention. We loved spotting the train coming around the coastline as it gets dark. Brilliant house, very luxurious, spacious and comfy. Also loved the well appointed kitchen and cooked some yummy meals. What a great base. We've had a fabulous week. Thank you.

Family Holiday

By Rob Painter on 24-Jul-2021

This week has been an incredible week, staying in an amazing home in an amazing location, we couldn't have asked for a better place to stay for a holiday. The home itself was extremely welcoming with everything you could possibly need (even for a big family like ours!). There was something to do for everyone. and we could never be bored in such an incredible area, we loved going for walks and exploring the village and surrounding area and the children loved exploring the beach and its caves. This cottage is perfect for everyone and Marcia and Dennis should be very proud of the beautiful home they've built and we are privileged to have been able to stay.
