Luxury three bedroom cottage with garage parking in Downalong, St Ives.

Pilchard Cottage is a former fishermans cottage refurbished to a high standard, sleeping six people in three double bedrooms. Situated on Fish Street, in the heart of St Ives with the all-important reserved parking space in a garage just paces away from the cottage, a real rarity to property in this location.

Situated in the old fishing quarter and conservation area of Downalong, the very heart of old St Ives full of twisting turning narrow streets scattered with many art galleries, great restaurants and fascinating architecture, completely enclosed by the harbour and surrounding sandy beaches.

The perfect location for surfing or lounging on the beach (the harbour beach is just paces away), visiting galleries (the Tate is a 3 minute walk) or for exploring St Ives (shops, restaurants, pubs and several beaches all just a short stroll away).

The cottage is arranged over three floors and benefits from a small patio that catches the morning sun. For those cooler evenings the central heating and real flame fire make things nice and cosy!

St Ives, ofen described as Cornwall’s ‘Jewel in the Crown’, is one of the UK’s most sought after holiday destinations. With its temperate climate and five golden sandy beaches, clear Atlantic water and fabulous coastle scenery, it can’t fail to impress.

For art lovers St Ives is the home of the Tate gallery, the Barbara Hepworth museum and the Leach Pottery as well as many other independent art galleries. Its narrow cobbled streets, fashionable shops, restaurants, bars and cafes all make St Ives a must visit destination.

We had searched for the right place to stay in St Ives for a while and settled on Pilchard cottage as it looked of a high standard and had a great location for the beach and shops. We were so happy when we arrived to see how beautiful it was in the flesh. The images don't do it justice and the location was so perfect for the beach, shops and restaurants. We were able to pop back after the beach for refreshments or a shower and back out again to have lunch. Alan and Sharon have thought of everything, the smallest of details making our stay like a home from home. We are already planning a return.

You really couldn't be more central

Pilchard Cottage is a lovely home and a really great place to stay in St Ives. You really couldn't be more central. And to have a parking space so close to the front door really sets it apart. The upfront info pack/website is so accurate and detailed that everything is self explanatory. We'd definitely stay here again.

What a wonderful Cottage

Booking was so easy, we booked the day before for a last minute, short break. Pilchard Cottage was everything that the owners described and so much more, from the excellent quality of the fittings & equipment, to all of the little unexpected extras included. Welcome gifts were a nice touch even milk In the fridge. The property was spotlessly cleaned. I would recommend it to all of the family who often want to stay in the centre of St Ives. Parking is a stones throw away & so conveniently located. We have been visiting the town for over 45 years and this is the best appointed propertty we have ever stayed at. The only minus is the amount of steps, if you are not so good on your legs. We will certainly be booking again as we loved it so much, can't wait!

Fabulous!

Four of us arrived together and the general consensus was WOW! Our other two guests arrived later and they were in complete agreement. The cottage was even better than the photos looked on the website. The fixtures and fittngs were all top quality and the location was perfect with the added bonus of a parking space. We spent quality time together as a family but having two sitting areas gave us the opportunity to have some quiet time too. This cottage is amazing and we have no hesitation in recommending it to others.

Amazing cottage. amazing location!

Loved it here, very modern and comfy cottage enough space for all of us and kids loved having the snug and tv in bedrooms.
Beds were very comfy and the cottage was lovely and clean, all the little extras were fab ( milk in the fridge and toilet paper to name a few).
Having wifi was a great extra, and having the car so close in the garage was also great.
Location was amazing, so close to everything.
Can't wait to return!

Best stay ever at Pilchard Cottage!

Alan was super super helpful throughout the whole booking. We had the best stay ever at Pilchard Cottage, a beautifully decorated, contemporary yet homey and cosy property, well equipped, very clean and we couldn't have asked for anything else. Great to have our own parking space as St Ives can be a nightmare for parking. Great location right in the heart of St Ives. Almost didn't want to give it such a good review as I want to keep it just for myself!!!
