A modern newly refurbished two bedroom apartment in a residential area.
The apartment is light with a balcony overlooking a delightful park There is a lift to this first floor flat.
As the apartment is a three minute walk from Surbiton Station a car is not essential to get into London.
The apartment is well furnished with everything needed for a comfortable holiday home, from the white leather sofa and large tv and wifi in the reception room to the Egyptian cotton sheets in the bedrooms and the modern fully fitted kitchen and bathroom.

Excellent location for travel to London. Flat is well layed out and was very clean. Well equipped with modern appliances. Best London shower I have experienced. Pleasant outlook from living room and main bedroom. On fairly busy road (bus stops at door) but no disturbance from traffic noise.

Well worth a return visit !

We have just returned home having stayed in Vicerour Lodge Apartment for three nights, visiting family and celebrating a special birthday. From first entering the flat we knew that we had made the right choice. It is bright,modern, clean and extremely well kept. There is an abundance of what one would need for any length of stay, the kitchen is very well equipped and there is plenty of storage space in both bedrooms. The lounge/dining area is also tastefully decorated and provided plenty of comfortable seating space for relaxing during our stay. It was great to have a safe parking space to the back of the apartment block, and as the flat is on the first floor bringing luggage in and out was very easy, there is a lift if needed. We did not want to visit Central London on this occasion but the station is only a few minutes walk away if we had wanted to. Surbiton provided us with all that we wanted on this occasion with an abundance of good pubs and restaurants. The generous welcoming pack on our arrival was very much appreciated. We would highly recommend staying in the apartment and are already contemplating a return visit.

We rented the flat for our time at the Hampton Court Palace Flower Show. It was and ideal location taking approximately 15 minutes to get to the show. The flat is spacious with a large lounge, two bedrooms and kitchen. Everything one could want is provided including a welcome pack of essentials. a bottle of wine was there as well! Surbiton is well served with public transport, the station is only a 5 minute walk away, there is a large Waitrose and plenty of places to eat nearby. The owners give all possible help about what there is and how to work it and very precise directions to find the flat and get in. There is plenty of car parking around the back although having a van we parked on the road without any difficulty. Thoroughly recommend.

Lovely flat close to Surbiton Station

We spent a lovely 10 days in this flat in Surbiton, just minutes from the train station. Martin and Joyce are wonderful hosts and very kind. Everything you could need is right out the front door. We would love to stay here again in the future. Thank you!

Very comfortable, clean and bright flat in an exceptionally convenient location. There were lots of thoughtful touches including a welcome pack of essentials and a box of local information, tube maps etc. The flat was very well provided with appliances and there was plenty of wardrobe space and hangers which was great for us as we were attending a function and had to look smart. My one criticism is a lack of a full length mirror. Martin, the owner, could not have been more helpful. If you are coming to London to see the sights don’t be put off by the location in an outer London borough. The flat is less than five minutes easy flat walking to Surbiton station or there is a bus stop just by the flats with buses every few minutes to the station. Trains from Surbiton into Waterloo are also very frequent and there are fast direct trains which take about 15mins, and semi-fast which take about 20. These stop at Wimbledon where you can change to the District Line for all the museums in South Kensington, Clapham Junction where you can change for many destinations including Victoria Station, Brighton and Gatwick, and Vauxhall where you can change to the Victoria Line. At Surbiton you can also catch the train directly to Hampton Court. Surbiton itself has many good pubs and restaurants and a mix of chain stores and independent shops including three supermarkets. From the bus stop opposite the flat frequent buses take you into Kingston-Upon-Thames, an historic market town. It has a variety of shops, pubs, clubs and restaurants as well as cinemas and a theatre. From Kingston you can catch buses to other interesting places including Richmond and Kew Gardens. The Thames is less than 10 minutes from the flat and you can follow the Thames Path up to Kingston and beyond.

Excellent 2 bed flat really close to Surbiton railway. Martin had excellent communication and the flat was immaculate. Very smooth check in. A lovely flat in an excellent location. Ideal for a family. Cot, high chair and associated sheets all in ready for us when we arrived. Flat is quiet and has a great view, despite being on a main road.

A lovely flat in a great location in Surbiton

A lovely flat in a great location in Surbiton. A few minutes walk from the train station and shops. Parking was easy too. The flat itself is light, airy, spacious and well-equipped. A good-sized double room, a twin and a sofa bed in the lounge make it a perfect place for a family or group of friends. Martin was a very kind, helpful and accommodating host. A bottle of wine, eggs and bread were a lovely welcome! I'd definitely recommend this flat for a weekend around the M25 or to get into London. A really brilliant stay - thank you!

Lovely stay in convenient location

My husband and I and two adult sons stayed in this flat for 3 weeks from January 21 until February 11, 2016. The flat was comfortable and in a very convenient location. The bus stops were right outside the door and the Surbiton train station a five minute walk. It was very convenient to take the train to Waterloo station, about 25 minutes. My sons and I often walked into Kingston. There is a lovely scenic walkway along the Thames into Kingston, a short walk from the flat. Waitrose was less than a 5 minute walk and Sainsburt's was also easily accessible. My husband has mobility issues so he would cross the street and take a short bus ride into Kingston and meet us there. I would highly recommend this flat for a vacation base.

Great location

This is a lovely apartment decorated to a high standard with everything one could need for a short or extended stay. Everything is well organised by the owners and there have been lots of positive reviews on that account so I won't repeat what has already been stated. For me, the most positive aspect of staying at Viceroy Lodge would have to be its location with nearby shopping and transport infrastructure, making make it a perfect choice for anyone visiting Central and/or South West London. Surbiton rail station is a five minute walk and there are trains to Waterloo departing every 15 minutes. The average journey time is 25 minutes and some even take less than that (15 minutes non-stop). Surbiton, itself, is a pleasant, prosperous and safe community with plenty of quality pubs, restaurants and food stores. Buses to Kingston stop very frequently outside the apartment; we never had to wait more than 2 minutes and the trip takes about 5 minutes. Alternatively, we would stroll into Kingston along the banks of the Thames while admiring the scenery. I would have no hesitation in returning to Viceroy Lodge in the future.

Excellent level of cleanliness, appointments and location

Arriving to a food pack for breakfast and snacks with a lovely cosy warmth in the apartment set the tone for a very pleasant stay in a homely environment. The kitchen was well stocked with equipment, the bathroom very clean and convenient and the bedrooms and living area were all very comfortably and attractively furnished. Bustops were just outside the door and Surbiton train station(zone 6- about 30 minutes from Waterloo on Southwest line) about 5 minutes walk. All shopping can be obtained in Surbiton, and the bus ride to Kingston on Thamesis less than 10 minutes. The photos on the website are truly indicative of the standard of this apartment. NB there is a lift for those travellers who find stairs difficult. I do not hesitate to recommend this property to anyone who considers value for money to be a priority. Next time I need a Pied-a-Terre I will certainly be staying at this property if possible.
