Lucky find

Cosy, clean and well equipped, the excellent Carew Inn and interesting castle made us glad we hadn't booked in Tenby itself.

lovely cottage in excellent location

By Norman B on 02-Aug-2018

Excellent cottage, clean and comfortable and very well equipped with washing machine and dishwasher. Brilliant location with a fantastic view of bridge over estuary. Carew Inn opposite, very friendly locals and customers especially Max, who invited us to his 80th birthday the next night! We will definitely be returning!

Lovely cottage in a great situation.

By Lynda J on 08-May-2018

Very well kept and clean with all mod-cons. Dishwasher in kitchen and good wi-fi through out. Sunny garden with table overlooking the river and bridge.

Also benefits from an excellent pub just down the road within walking distance!

Excellent property and easy to get to

By William M on 25-Apr-2018

I have just finished a lovely 3 day family holiday in this wonderful cottage. The property was easy to find and close enough to enjoy Tenby and Saundersfoot with only a 10 minute drive to both. The properties garden is completely enclosed which made life a lot easier as we have 2 dogs which could be left to enjoy the garden without fear of them escaping. The property has everything you need to cook meals and is well equipped. The Carew Inn is less than 20 meters away and Carew castle is about 200 meters away. The property has great views of the mill pond and the surrounding countryside. I highly recommend this property and we will be visiting again soon.

Beautiful cottage

This was a beautiful cottage, warm and comfy. Home from home. Every amenity and well equipped. In a lovely area with panoramic views. Ideal for the dogs who loved it

Lovely dog friendly cottage

By Gill L on 16-Mar-2018

The cottage and location was perfect for visiting Pembrokeshire. We travelled with our two dogs and it is normally hard to find a nice secure garden, a room to clean muddy paws and lovely walks on the doorstep. Step across the road and there is a secure path around the millpond by Carew Castle.

It is cosy and has everything you require.

Across the road is the dog friendly Carew Inn. Excellent food and service.

What more could you want. We will definitely return.

A warm and comfortable cottage a stone's throw from a great pub

By Alison S on 26-Jan-2018

Surprisingly spacious and ideally placed as a base for touring and exploring this beautiful area: sadly the weather was a limiting factor and we look forward to returning.

A delightful cottage in a pretty setting

By Mary on 03-Jan-2018

The cottage was absolutely perfect for us (2 adults and a dog); with plenty of room for 3 adult relatives to come and visit for Christmas day too without feeling cramped. It is very comfortable and well appointed - there was nothing we needed that wasn't there for us. The garden is totally secure with great views across the surrounding countryside. We loved the small room at the back of the house (too big to be called a boot room!)...... perfect for soggy dogs to be dried off before entering the main part of the cottage. Anthea and Paul's directions were easy to follow and we were made to feel very welcome throughout. I really can't recommend this cottage more highly.

Good location, clean & tidy

By Dominic B on 08-Jun-2017

Would recommed for some peace and quiet and country walks in the area. Property is well laid out with just enough room for 2 adults and 2 teenagers. Close to Tenby (10 minutes) and most places in Pembrokeshire are generally around an hour away.

Lovely cottage in tranquil setting

By John E on 30-May-2017

A very nice well equipped bungalow which is very well situated for both the beaches and nearby excellent pub restaurants (the Brewery Inn at Cosheston being the best). I highly recommend Rose Lea Cottage.

great location

By Mark R on 03-May-2017

Two dogs and three adults had great time in this lovely cottage. It is comfortable and well appointed, it has a log burner even a dishwasher, however with the view from the kitchen window you may want to do the dishes by hand. Enclosed garden to the rear a real bonus for the dogs. There is also a decking with views of part of the mill pond and surrounding area. It is all about the location of this cottage with a cracking pub just a few paces away. The Carew inn is really worth the 30 step walk from the cottage. The castle and mill pond is ideal for walking around even if you don't have dogs. Highly recommend this cottage and will be looking to book again.

Great little cottage

By Paula B on 12-Apr-2017

We loved the location of this cottage and the facilities within it. It's perfect for walking around the mill pond or visiting the castle (which was great). It had almost everything that we needed and we would probably stay again.

Lovely holiday cottage in peaceful Carew

By Anne M on 11-Apr-2017

We enjoyed a 3 night last minute stay at Roselea cottage. The directions to the cottage were spot on and the parking at the side of the cottage was perfect. The owner was friendly and helpful and immediately sorted out a small problem with the toilet flush. The cottage is simply furnished but very comfortable and everything you need is there. The sitting out area at the rear overlooking the river is lovely and the the garden is totally enclosed which is great if you have a dog like us! The walk around the castle and mill is lovely- it's very peaceful and the views are wonderful. There is an ice cream shop at the mill and alongside is a small cafe/shop selling takeaway teas, coffees and cakes although this cafe may be seasonal. The Carew Inn (dog friendly) is only a few yards away from the cottage. The food is very good there and the staff very friendly. Tenby is only 10 mins away by car and Bosherton Lakes 15 mins. The walk from Bosherton to broad haven beach and then to barafundle is a must. We would definitely recommend this cottage and hope to return.

Cosy Roselea Cottage

By Ruth on 11-Jan-2017

This property is a little gem - clean, comfortable and well equipped. The log burner made it very cosy - our dogs certainly enjoyed their snooze in front of it, and the enclosed garden. We had a lovely weekend break with walks along North and South Beach in Tenby, Bosheston and Carew Castle. The pub was ideally located and welcomed 2 and 4 legged friends. We booked a return visit as soon as we got home, so that speaks volumes!

Lovely Bungalow

By Helen on 02-Aug-2016

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Roselea cottage. First impressions were how immaculately clean it was when we arrived. Back garden was completely secure for our dog and had a lovely decking area with a lovely view of the Mill pond where we walked our dog every day. Bungalow was very spacious and had everything you could need. Shower was fab! The Carew Inn practically opposite is great..we enjoyed a few lovely meals there and it is dog friendly. Carew castle is also great and definitely worth a visit ( we preferred it to Pembroke castle). Very near to Tenby and Saundersfoot both lovely and the Lilly Ponds at Bosherton are so worth a visit...absolutely beautiful. Thankyou Anthea we had a lovely holiday in beautiful Pembrokeshire

Good value for money, picturesque outlook from the patio, a pleasure to eat outside, easy parking.

By Kay C on 01-Jun-2016

We enjoyed our stay at the cottage which was very comfortable and close to Tenby and Saundersfoot. Ideal for a dog with a secure garden and lovely walks by the castle. The property was very clean and tidy, and the owner was extremely pleasant to deal with and very helpful. The Tesco Supermarket at Pembroke Dock was very convenient, and the farm shop at Milton was very handy for milk and papers. We would certainly recommend this property to our friends and relatives.

Cottage with home comforts and superb location

By Nicola H on 03-May-2016

Roselea cottage is a lovely homely cottage that was very welcoming. It was well equipped with everything you'd need for a self catering holiday.

The log burner was a great feature and the views to the back of the cottage are amazing.

The location of the cottage is excellent as it is near to so many attractions , however has the bonus of a country feel as it is in a stunning village location.

The local Carew Inn was such a treasure. The staff were extremely helpful and with two hungry children in tow, kindly took our food order early. To add to the great service was delicious food and the atmosphere of a rustic pub with lit fires.

Thank you so much for a perfect break in your lovely cottage

Nice, comfortable cottage

By Linzi P on 26-Oct-2015

Lovely cottage in an interesting little place. I found the cottage and it's facilities to be exactly what I wanted and excellent if you're taking your dog like I did. The garden was secured, everything was clean and had all the mod cons.

Really liked Carew Inn as well, which is pretty much right outside the front door. The staff were very accommodating, the food was good and the place seemed to have a good atmosphere. It was ideal dog friendly in the bar and the lounge.

Everything went very smoothly and the owners were brilliant with communication and instructions.

I definitely recommend staying here if you want to visit Pembrokeshire and you have a dog. Also it's pretty close to everything - Tenby, Manorbier, Barafundle Bay etc.

Great spot for getting out and about

By Linzi T on 06-Oct-2015

Easy access out to tenby and all along the south coast, and also Pembroke for shopping.

Clean and tidy, and a secure garden great for our dog. Also just across the road from a good pub for meals at night.

Nice to be able to walk out around the castle in the evenings when everyone else had gone home

Wonderful cottage in a quiet location.

By Brian L on 06-Sep-2015

Just Fab Fab Fab...!!

We had a lovely week at Roselea cottage. 2 Adults 2 Teenagers and a border collie. A perfect holiday location.

So much space and 3 bedrooms too. Very well equipped and dog friendly. Finished to a high standard its a great place to come back to after days out kayaking and paddleboarding at Freshwater east or Manorbier beaches, (10 mins drive).

Our family loved the quiet location and the walk around Carew castle and the Tidal Mill is right on the doorstep. Lovely views across the river from the decked patio area at the rear of the cottage.

Anthea was a pleasure to deal with and we will highly recommend Roselea to our friends. We will be back again next year.

Excellent holiday cottage

By Nelson on 18-Aug-2015

This is the second time we have stayed, with our Irish Terrier, at Roselea, and I would recommend it to any dog-owner. The area is delightful, the pub across the road very dog-friendly, the property is clean, the facilities are good, and with its enclosed small garden, a dog can let out at any time of the day or night in complete safety. The owner was very helpful - returning a dressing gown I foolishly left behind astonishingly quickly! We will certainly return.

Lovely accomodation, Great location

By Paul B on 04-Aug-2015

Accommodation was very clean and well equipped, and had recently been redecorated/refurbished throughout to a high standard. Great location, not least being opposite a lovely pub and Carew castle just a few hundred yards away. Would most definitely recommend.

Perfect Accomodation

By The Cole Family on 28-Apr-2015

A perfect cottage in a beautiful location. We looked forward to our daily walk (sometimes twice daily) around the millpond. Accommodation very clean and well maintained. Our teenagers loved having wifi connection. All of this made it a perfect base for exploring the wonderful south west coast of Wales. Daisy our dog loved it too.

Lovely Roselea

By Vicky E on 03-Apr-2015

A fantastic cottage in a beautiful location which more than lived up to it's description. Idyllic views, mod cons and a stone's throw from the Carew Arms ( which conveniently welcomes well- behaved dogs too). The cottage was very well situated for exploring Pembrokeshire and the owners were helpful with any enquiries. A big thumbs up from parents, teenagers and a very happy dog!

Welcoming house an owner!

By Angellique on 01-Apr-2015

We spent three nights in Roselea cottage. Paul and Anthea have been very helpful to prepare our arrival (and even afterwards when we had left our child's toy behind us!) so that we could make the most of our stay.

The cottage was perfectly clean, the kitchen is convenient.

The location is quiet and literally opposite Carew Castle and the interesting Tide Mill and… The pub which serves quite good food in a warm atmosphere.

The house is not huge so we were happy to have a nice weather to go around but were very happy to get back home at night!

Excellent 4 night break

By Gillian B on 19-Feb-2015

The cottage was an excellent choice in a great location, ideal for our last minute, 4 night break for half term. The cottage had everything we needed for a brilliant chilled out family weekend and made for a very comfortable stay. Great walks to keep the dogs entertained and having the castle as your view point every time you go out the front door was amazing, added to, by the excellent view from the kitchen window over the lovely bridge and the mill pond estuary meaning there was always one of us admiring the setting.

Rosella Cottage

By Roo on 22-Sep-2014

Spent a lovely week in Roselea Cottage, which was spotlessly clean on arrival. The weather was wonderful, we all, including 95 year old Mum and dogs found the cottage and location ideal. Our stay coincided with the Ironman Challenge which was a bonus. Many thanks.R

Holiday Stay

By Catherine on 13-Jul-2014

We have all had a lovely holiday helped by the good weather.

The cottage is in a lovely location and very handy to go out sight seeing without spending loads of time in the car. The property is very well maintained and has everything that is needed. I would have no hesitation to recommend Roselea cottage to friends and family.

Thank you for a really nice holiday.

Lovely dog friendly cottage and area

By Stincl on 27-Jun-2014

We stayed at Roselea Cottage for a week in June. It was the best cottage we have ever stayed in for walking our two dogs. There was a circular walk around the beautiful Carew castle of about 1 mile which was totally on the flat and on a hard surface so was an easy walk even if the weather was not too good. This walk could be extended across farmland and the farmer had even cut footpaths to assist walkers. The cottage itself was ideal with a totally secure garden for the dogs and everything we needed inside. We shall no doubt be back.

lovely cottage, great location

By Anon on 21-Jun-2014

The cottage is lovely inside and out & the decking area had a great view. The weather was hot for our entire stay, so it was great not to have to worry about the dogs as they were save and secure in the garden. Brilliant location for sightseeing, and for visiting all the great beaches and there are plenty!!! most allow dogs on part or all. The Carew Inn was friendly and served great food and is a stones throw away with a nice garden. We fell in love with Tenby, had a fantastic holiday and will be back :)

Cosy retreat

By Bluebrook on 21-Apr-2014

Carew is a great place to be based for walking the Pembroke Coastal paths and Roselea Cottage is the perfect retreat after a strenuous day. Warm and cosy - even if you are too tired to light the log burner. Our two dogs settled instantly and the garden was secure with lawns and decking overlooking the estuary. Carew Castle is literally on the doorstep as is the Carew inn which does great food. Lovely, homely and cosy - just the ticket.
