Fabulous time in Cornwall
By Theresa P. on 03-Aug-2019
We loved staying in Welch's Cottage. It is in a great location for exploring the surrounding area although some might find it a little isolated we enjoyed coming back to the peace and quiet. The property is tucked away in a tiny hamlet accessed via single track lanes which were a little tricky to navigate at times especially with the local farmers zooming up and down them in their tractors!!! The house itself was great and provided pretty much everything we needed apart from food. The welcome cake was delicious, so delicious in fact that we had to email Sharon to find out where it was from - a bakery called Malcolm Barnecutts - so we could buy another one (we all came back from Cornwall stuffed with cake and pastys!). The only negatives were not having enough hangers in the bedrooms and somewhere to hang wet towels after showering and the shower cubicles look like they need a bit of tlc. Overall we had a fabulous time and would highly recommend Welch's Cottage, thank you Sharon!
Lovelly Cottage close to the north Cornwall coast

This is a really pretty and spacious cottage and is even nicer than the photos suggest. In particular the sitting room was much more comfortable than we thought from the pictures.
Our favorite area was the patio outside. The weather was very good, so we spent alot of time sitting outside in this beautiful area.
The area around the cottage gas some very pretty footpaths, and the beaches are a short drive away, closest is Fort William.
We had a small issue with the sky box, and contacted the owners who were extremely friendly and helpful and very quickly resolved it.
The only small issue with the cottage is the stairs, which elderly people might find difficult because the hand rail is difficult to grip at the top of the stairs. My mother was initially a bit worried, but we fitted the stair gate at the top of the stairs and left it flush against the staircase wall for her to hold. This solved it completely for my mum and she didn't have any problems after that.
Thank you for a great stay in your beautiful cottage, which we all enjoyed hugely
Taste of Cornwall

We wanted to visit the beauty spots on the Cornwall coast with a view to a possible move in the future. The property had everything and more as far as comfort and equipment was concerned and although a bit remote had easy access to a main road for travelling up or down the coast.
Lovely quiet location

Lovely cottage , great location . Really well equipped . Only suggestion possibly a small hand rail at top of stairs as my 79 yr old mother found them challenging . We would love to stay again and highly recomend .
Perfect holiday in sunny Cornwall

We had a really lovely stay at this cosy cottage in Cornwall. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay and wish we had booked for longer! There is a large enclosed garden which was great for our dogs, and patio area for bbq's. The village is small with no amenities so you need a car to drive to attractions in the area, but it is perfectly situated for coastal walks and beaches less than 30 mins drive away. And the town of Camelford is 10 mins away with shops and pubs. We would definitely stay here again with lots more to see in the area! Thanks for having us.

Lovely cottage, clean well equipped, in lovely quiet hamlet. It was perfect for our family and really appreciated the cake we received on arrival!
Immaculate friendly cottage was just what we wanted and in a beautiful location.

We arrived to find the cottage beautifully clean and very welcoming - the saffron bread and milk were very helpful.
The kitchen had everything we could have wished and the beds were extremely comfortable.
The location of the cottage was perfect - a quiet village with great access to the north Cornish Coast and Bodmin Moor - we explored them all but there’s still much to come back to.
My only difficulty was making the heating work - which was necessary on a few evenings - I kept on having f to restart it but am not sure why.
Thank you so much for a delightful stay - I’m sure we, like others in the visitors’ book, will be back.
With all best wishes
Lovely characterful, well equipped cottage in very peaceful setting.

The cottage has everything you could possibly need. It is full of character and sympathetically modernised. The location is very convenient for the SW coastal path, beaches, Port Isaac, Boscastle Bodmin & Padstow but also in a very quiet village. We would definitely recommend it.
Lovely well equipped cottage in peaceful location to explore great Cornish beaches
By Adam P. on 11-Aug-2018
Spacious cottage with well equipped kitchen, comfy beds and bathroom. Good size garden for kids. Off street parking big bonus. My wife and I stayed with 2 daughters (12 and 8) and dog. Found it a great base to explore Cornish beaches, villages and pubs with Polzeath, Rock, Padstow, Bude, Port Isaac and Tintagel all within 20-30 mins. Would strongly recommend and stay again.
