Detached and well-presented throughout, Cornerways has three bedrooms, making it perfect for friends and families (or couples who like a bit more space around them). The cottage is all on one level and has two travel cots and two highchairs.
Lovely walks start straight from the front door taking you through the adjacent woods, heathland and animal/shire horse sanctuary. Or walk to the
beach which is of special scientific interest where in 1990 the West Runton Mammoth was discovered, and fossils can be found in the cliffs.
There is also a links golf course and country park close by for those who enjoy a game, as well as golf courses at Sheringham and Cromer. Village shops, pub and restaurants and tea rooms within walking distance of the cottage. There is small single line railway station 5 minutes walk away which goes to Sheringham were you can transfer on to the North Norfolk steam railway or in the other direction Cromer then on to Norwich with its cathedral and cobbled streets for a day out.

Most desirable village in the UK as stated in the ""Sunday Times"", September 18th, 2015. West Runton is equal distance between Cromer, with its pier, museum and Amazonia zoo and Sheringham with its steam railway and theatre.

West Runton is ideally situated for easy access to many of North Norfolks attractions such as the National Trusts Felbrigg and Blickling Hall. The fabulous rhododendron collection at Sheringham park. The beautiful Georgian country town of Holt is just 8 miles away. The village is on the regular coastal hopper bus route and within easy striking distance of Cley and Blakeney. A short drive away is the Muckleburgh Military Collection.

Spend your days exploring Norfolk's pretty coastal villages, walking the coastal path, bird watching at one of the nature reserves such as Cley, or just lazing on one of the vast golden beaches that make Norfolk so special. Visit Holkham Estate and walk along the sandy beach to nearby Wells-next-the-sea with its pretty little beach huts. Take a boat trip to Blakeney Point to see the seals or drive along the coast to Horsey where they can often be seen in their numbers basking on the deserted beach.

You can also head inland and visit the Norfolk Broads for a day trip out or the City of Norwich (within an hour's drive or by train). Alternatively, just stay put and enjoy everything that West Runton and the surrounding area have to offer.

Please ask as we are happy to do shorter stays on of the main holiday season. Please enquire about pets.

Idyllic Cottage in Norfolk

By Mrs L Skidmore on 16-Jun-2018

We had a great stay in this very comfortable cottage. We did not want to leave. We had got use to coming back and sitting in the garden in the evening, after a stroll along the beach. Very relaxing

Second time around this year

By Reggie on 09-Jun-2018

My wife and I decided to come back to this cottage with my daughter. Once again I was very pleased and took this second opportunity to see more of Norfolk. We even got as far as King's Lynn! Still surprised at how well stocked it is with pots & pans which makes cooking in very easy. Would continue to recommend.

Great Cottage

By Reggie on 22-Feb-2018

Had a lovely holiday in this well equipped cottage. It was nice to come back and sit in front of the log burner on the cold February nights and also make visits to few local pubs.

We also enjoyed getting the train to Norwich one day - very easy and I would recommend it to anyone.

I think it would be great to return in the summer.

Beautiful Garden

By Jane Wilton on 30-Sep-2017

We enjoyed our stay at Cornerways. Beautiful garden a real sun trap, loved the flint wall. Well placed for sightseeing, lovely walks up on to the heath behind the cottage. Village inn pub was very good, just a few minutes stroll away. Will be back again next year.

Lovely period cottage in private, quiet setting.

By Lee And Russell Dean on 24-Sep-2016

Lovely period cottage in private, quiet setting.
This property was the best part of our fives weeks back in the U.K. a lovely private garden with Robin song accompaniment, most days, and very comfortable accommodation. The property is within walking distance of some beautiful English countryside, the North Sea and some lovely beaches. There is a Tescos and a Sainsburys close by a Sherringham-3.5km walk along the beach is recommended -as well as train services- and regular bus services. Highly recommended.

A lovely comfortable cottage & secure sunny garden

By Bryony on 23-Jul-2016

A lovely comfortable cottage & secure sunny garden
A lovely clean cottage & flower garden with 2 parking spaces. Perfect quiet location within 2 min of the railway station ( you can't hear the train) or 10 mins to the bus stops to travel the coast. Beach walks Cromer or Sheringham. Plenty of room in the cottage loads of books, games and DVDs. Village pub with great food, hotel with quiet sports bar. None of us wanted to leave & all agreed we could stay for ever! A relaxing break with my two girls, husband and mother.
