Description

Weston Hill Cottage is a charming period holiday cottage by the sea in the popular resort of Weston-Super-Mare. Dating from 1816, it has been sympathetically modernised and refurbished to accommodate four people in two bedrooms. The layout suits small families or two couples who can enjoy being only a five-minute walk from Weston-super-Mare's famous pier, huge sandy beach, shops, cafes and bars. Weston Hill Cottage is on a quiet residential road slightly out of the town's centre so convenient but still peaceful.

Weston-super-Mare is a vibrant seaside town with a calendar full of fun events in every season. It's been a family-favourite holiday destination since Victorian times, not only for its beautiful beach but also because it's so easy to get to, having great road and public transport links. While many people are familiar with the lively side of Weston-super-Mare, not everyone knows about its quiet side. A few minutes walk from the cottage is a tranquil woodland where wild deer and woodpeckers thrive and where walkers can enjoy panoramic views over Sand Bay towards Wales. From Sand Bay, you can walk to Sand Point for far-reaching views over the Bristol Channel, South Wales and the Mendip Hills.

You will never run out of ways to have fun during your stay at Weston Hill Cottage. Spend your days on the beach, flying a kite, walking around the coast or cycling through the Mendips, Quantock Hills, or the Blackdown Hills. Cheddar Gorge is within easy reach, as are attractions like Noah's Ark Zoo Farm, Bristol Zoo's Wild Place, and lots of farms and play centres. Bristol and Bath are 45 minutes and an hour's drive, with plenty of attractions and places to eat, drink and shop. You can watch the sunrise from Glastonbury Tor and enjoy the all-weather beauty of Wookey Hole Caves. The Bristol Balloon Fiesta is an annual spectacular, while the Weston-super-Mare Carnival in mid-November starts the countdown to Christmas for thousands of people.

Weston Hill Cottage is a lovely holiday home with excellent access to fantastic sights and attractions. It's available for bookings all year round.

A very pleasant stay at this lovely cottage

By Marie on 23-Mar-2022

Everything! It was very clean and comfortable. The whole place was very well appointed with good quality furnishings and fittings. The kitchen had everything needed to cook meals easily. The open plan upstairs was bright and light, it was great to sit in the garden end of the room, looking at the spring flowers. The shower rooms were first class. The extra large bed with quality bedding was the most comfortable that I have ever slept in. The walk to town and back was easily managed ~ we are a couple in our late sixties of average fitness and it took us about 15 minutes to walk there ~ a bit longer to walk back up the hill~ but very manageable.

Fantastic family getaway

By Emma on 03-Jul-2021

We had a great time at hill cottage. Loads of space, very modern, bedrooms were a great size and very comfortable. Kitchen and living area were also a great size and the garden area was lovely. My children also loved the board games provided and the little games room off the garden. Just a really lovely place and we’d love to return.
