REFUNDS due to COVID-19
If there is still a national lockdown preventing you from travelling to the cottage for your holiday, or the strict levels of Tiers prevent you from leaving your Tier to get to Weymouth, then you will be refunded the entire cost of your holiday.
LOCATION
Mariner's View cottage is situated at the southern-most point of Weymouth, just before the causeway that leads to Portland. The Fleet nature reserve (good bird-watching) and Chesil Beach are just across the road. From the cottage windows, there are wonderful views of the sea, yachts and windsurfers, all backed by the distinctive outline of Portland. Smallmouth Bay, with rocks and a little sandy beach and the coast line of Portland Harbour are 3 minutes walk away. The South West Coast path and Rodwell Trail (one of Julia Bradbury's Railway Walks) pass close to the front door. The National Sailing Academy in Portland Harbour (which hosted the 2012 Sailing Olympics) can be seen from the cottage windows.

Perfect getaway home in Dorset. I stayed here with my girlfriend but there’s plenty of space for a whole family. Very cosy and homely, with great views from the first floor. Everything was very clean and the host was very attentive and helpful, with lots of knowledge of the local area. It’s a great location, very close to Weymouth town centre and Portland bill. Loads of nice walks all around. We loved it so much we asked to extend a week.

Exceeded Expectations
Comment: Being able to enjoy a COVID secure stay so we didn’t have to worry like we would have done if staying in a hotel where there are other people.

Met Expectations
Comment: Lovely cottage quite near shore, short walk to a small beach. Interesting area. Cottage very convenient with clear written instructions for everything plus extras like sandwich bags, cling film and foil. Even first aid and sewing kit. All very thoughtful
The cottage was all that we expected, and more, particularly the views from the bedroom and bathroom windows, looking out across the bay towards Portland.”
My wife would have happily spent hours sitting on the bed watching the kite surfers. We found everything as described and cannot fault it in any way. The owners were very attentive, particularly when we couldn't get the central heating to work on day one. Within 45 minutes of contacting them, they had an Engineer at the cottage and within 15 minutes, heating was up and running. Fantastic place, fantastic value, and well located to visit many places along the South coast. We will be back!
This is a great place to stay, near to the sea, with lots to do in the area.
Lovely cottage, good views, handy for No. 1 bus.
