Bower House Estate 5 stars We stayed in this lovely villa in August for 10nights driving down from Athens. After a busy few days in the city it was lovely to relax in a lovely, clean and quiet space with amazing views and fabulous pool. We are a family of five with teenage children and a 7 year old. The villa was perfect for us creating chilled pool days and afternoons exploring different beaches and a waterfall. We had a day out on a sailing boat which we thoroughly enjoyed and visited a little cove for some great snorkelling. The villa owners have thought of everything to make our stay easier from pool inflatables , picnic bags to household goods. The children enjoyed the boules area and I loved sitting in the balcony at night with a drink listening to the jackles! There is a helpful book with lots of recommended restaurants - our favourite is ‘the rock’ serving lovely kebabs, fish dishes etc. Right on the beach! I would recommend this villa to anyone looking for chilled out family time in a remote location and definitely not touristy!
We had a great stay Mid-July at the Bower House Estate ! Mel and Bryan are fantastic hosts and have been very forthcoming in all aspects. The house is embedded in a beautiful natural environment, magnificent views in all directions including to the sea too. The entire atmosphere is very relaxing and enables to completely to unwind and totally relax. 5-10 min by car to the next village/Petalidi which has some nice restaurants and shops for buying your groceries. Along the coast line to Koroni you can find many nice beach spots, but also not far away to the other side/Pylos and Methoni where you can find great spots for good swimming. The entire area is still unspoiled from mass tourism and still rather authentic Greek. The house has a beautiful infinity pool with a great view, perfectly equipped with chairs etc. and a nice outdoor grill. The house is in great shape, perfectly equipped and offers all you need including kitchen utensils and spices etc. It is very obvious to see that during offseason, Mel and Bryan live there ! it is not just a house for renting purposes only ! Overall, one of the really nicest and most beautiful houses we have stayed in in the past years ! Thank you Mel & Bryan, hope to see you soon again during our next stay in your beautiful house !
A fabulous family holiday. The villa 5* We had an epic journey to get to the Bower House, but it was so worth it. Mel and Bryan were the most considerate of hosts, and we had many occasions to be grateful for their presence downstairs (the wine in the chiller, chemists open on a Sunday and the nearest covid test centre spring to mind). The house is beautifully equipped and were it not for the many great places to visit that are highlighted in the information book, we might not have left at all. But we fell in love with the nearby beach, and delighted in our trips up and down the coast (Koroni and Ancient Messini are especially recommended). Mel and Bryan’s knowledge of local tavernas was another insight not to be missed. We would all love to return: there’s lots more to see and do. And NB to future visitors: Bryan’s olive wood bowls and other carvings are fabulous, and you should not leave the Bower House without some.
