Our apartment, known as 'Finkleloft', is a comfortable and well equipped one bedroom apartment in a peaceful setting. It is just a short walk (approx 300yds) from
Thirsk’s delightful cobbled market place which still boasts a twice weekly market. You will also find traditional shops and country cafes, pubs, restaurants and ‘take-
aways’ within easy walking distance. Thirsk is home to the Herriot Museum and the well known Racecourse is within walking distance. Thirsk & Sowerby Leisure
Centre Is close by. A little further away is Northallerton Golf Club. Cod Beck runs through Thirsk and offers a pleasant sitting area.
Thirsk is very well placed for transport links, there is a train station at Carlton Minniott - although it is known as Thirsk - and this is about 2 miles away; taxi's can be
contacted to collect you. There are many buses leaving from the market square, and the major road systems are just a short distance away. This is a lovely base
from which to explore the Dales, North York’s Moors and Scarborough, Whitby and other coastal areas. Helmsley, Ripon and York are all popular days out. Castle
Howard, Eden Camp, Rievaulx Abbey and many National Trust and English Heritage properties are within easy reach.
On a practical note there is an electric vehicle charging point in Thirsk's main car park.
Heated by night storage heaters Finkleloft is an all electric property. Occupancy is 2 or 4 with one double bedroom, with adouble sofa bed in the lounge. There is a well equipped kitchen with dining area. The bathroom has a shower over the bath. As its name may suggest it is on the top floor accessed by three flights of stairs.

We have owned Finkleloft since it was built in 2000, it has always been a holiday apartment. we have just re-registered with Simply Holidays, thus guest comments a little out of date

We are happy to try to accommodate requests for 3 night stays, However, during and including April - September we will normally only accept bookings within 8 weeks of the start of your holiday. If the sofa bed is required there will be a small additional cost of £20.00.
