Fantastic Stay - Definitely Like To Return

By Emma R on 10-Jan-2019

We had a fantastic 2 night stay over new year in this very spacious House - the photos don't do it justice! It was the ideal House for a group of 10, and there are such a number of downstairs rooms that we didn't even need to use all of them. The House itself is beautiful and it is just a few minutes walk to a very quiet long stretch of beach. The owner was very helpful throughout the booking process and was very accommodating, and altered the check-in and check-out times for us. It was too cold to make use of the garden on this occasion, but we would definitely like to return during the summer when the hot tub is available.

Beautifully Quaint And Quirky Whilst Still Being Modern And Comfortable.

By Jasmin on 16-Oct-2018

The cottage was beautifully quaint and quirky whilst still being modern and comfortable. Ann guided us there as we arrived in the dark and it was difficult to find. We were there for a weekend of activities but the weather was awful so we ended up staying inside and watching films for the majority of the weekend. The hot tub was already hot for our arrival which was lovely. The sun came out on Sunday and we all had a wander around the gardens.

Wonderful Stay Absolutely Loved It!

By Joanne H on 11-Sep-2018

Me and my family had such a wonderful stay at Glan Afon. The House is lovely and spacious yet still has a very cosy feel to it. The rooms are decorated beautifully and the kitchen it very well equipped. My daughter and her cousins absolutely loved hanging out in the hot tub each evening and also loved the table tennis table and pool table. One of the best things about the House is the garden.. It is huge and there are so many different areas to explore, our children had lots of fun playing hide and seek. It is then just a short walk over the sty and across a small field and bridge to a breathtaking beach! It was a rainy weekend but still perfect for a stroll and I can only imagine how blissful it would be on a sunny day.

The House is situated really close to Pwllehi, we walked casually into town in around 15 mins where we had a drink in a local pub, visited an ice cream parlour and walked along the prom. There is lots of nice places to eat, a lovely fish and chip shop and an Asda which was really convenient. It is then just a 6 mile drive to Abersoch which is well worth a visit, the beach there is outstanding and there are some great places to eat and drink plus lots of cool shops. We will definitely return to this House as we feel that we only touched the surface of all the things there is to enjoy at the House and places to explore nearby!

Amazing And Spectacular House And Gardens With A Great Hot Tub

By Lynn S on 19-Aug-2018

The House is very spacious and homley, excellent play room and gardens for the children to play in , all the bedrooms are very comfortable, two big bathrooms and a very large en suite bathroom which have great powerful showers and two good size baths as well. There is so much space down stairs one very large lounge area with very comfortable furniture in, a large dining room wiith a converatory, which has a small pool table in for the children, then there is what we called the snug room which was very cosey with two small settees in and a small tv which the grandchildren loved using as well to watch dvd's before going to bed. The kitchen is a really good size with a very long table in that meant all 14 of us could sit down together to eat our meals, and very useful to have to high chairs as well. The adults loved the hot tub which was used every evening, This is a lovely and value for money place for a family or friends to have a holiday at, There is lots of places to go to around the area and some great beaches as well and parking is cheap as well. Would definitely go back again.

Amazing House Looking Forward To The Next Time

By Helen Chew on 10-Apr-2018

Just had 4 wonderful days at Glan Afon. As a family of 9 (7 adults, 2 children) the House was perfect. And what an amazing house! The large cozy kitchen was very well equipped. We had some great family times spent at the kitchen table both dining and playing games. The bedrooms were lovely and all the beds were comfortable, no complaints about waking up with bad backs. There were loads of DVDs, toys, games etc so no chance of being bored. The beach is only a short walk from the House which was brilliant. The hot tub was fantastic.
Ann was the perfect host. Any queries we had were answered and dealt with immediately. I would highly recommend staying here and we're all looking forward to the next time. Thanks Ann it was wonderful.

Brilliant Stay !!

By Emily Miller on 06-Apr-2018

We have just returned from a brilliant stay at Glan Afon - what a house!! It worked perfectly for a fantastic family break (incl 4 children under 10) over the Easter weekend. All the rooms were comfortable and the kitchen well equipped. The large kitchen table provided the perfect setting for informal family meals and fit us all round comfortably especially when family living locally were able to join us.
Plenty of toys for children, great House for hide and seek together with beautiful gardens which were perfect for an Easter egg hunt!
The hot tub was an added bonus!
We all had a great time and can't wait to go back.

Fantastic House That Makes You Feel At Home As Soon As You Walk Through The Door

By Sarah Higham on 18-Oct-2017

A fantastic House that makes you feel at home as soon as you walk through the door. We have just returned from what I think is our 6th visit. As a family we have been to the House at various times throughout the year. We have spent Christmas there, family birthdays, a hen weekend and summer. No matter what time of year the House and beautiful grounds will not disappoint. The House is spacious enough for a couple of families or a group of friends to share. We love the fact that there is a cosy lounge for the adults and snug full of lots of great dvds for the kids. The kitchen is most definitely the hub of the home with a table large enough to seat everyone and very well equipped. The hot tub is always enjoyed by all the family and the private and tranquil setting is just perfect! I can guarantee you wouldn’t be disappointed if you spent time at Glan Afon. It’s the type of House you can turn up at, lock the door and be entertained and relaxed in equal measures by everything it has to offer. We are just grateful Ann and her family allow us to all share this special place!

Perfect -photos Do Not Do The Place Justice

By Emma May Gallagher on 19-Jun-2017

We have just returned from a hen weekend and it could not have been more perfect! Plenty of accommodation for our group and the House is a dream - lots of room inside, with a large courtyard and hot tub (which was a big winner with our group!) with beautiful gardens. Photos do not do this place justice! The beach is very close and we got very lucky with the weather, so this was ideal. Ann was the perfect host and we had everything we could need when we arrived. Wouldn't hesitate to rebook and go back!

Wonderful Stay

By Julia B on 31-May-2017

We were a party of 11 from age 11 months to 70 years. This House is something special. Secluded from the road in its own beautiful surroundings. The garden is huge and beautiful and the trip over to the beach takes less than 10 mins. The hot tub was a wonderful addition and was enjoyed by all of us. The House is so spacious and beautifully decorated so much so that I don't think the photos do it full justice. Also lovely helpful owner. Would love to return one day..

We Had A Great Time With Our Ping Pong Tournaments, Movie Watching, Hot Tubing And Visits To The Beach.

By Ann Taylor on 20-Apr-2017

We stayed at Glan Afon as a family of 11 ranging from 2 to 88 in April 2017 (coming from Manchester, London & Seattle, USA). The accommodation was perfect for everyone. We had a great time with our ping pong tournaments, movie watching, hot tubing and visits to the beach. I have stayed in many rental accommodations but none have had such a well appointed kitchen. There was plenty of room for family togetherness and quiet time for those who just wanted a quiet place to read. Thank you!

Lovely Stay

By Matthew D on 18-Apr-2017

The House was beautiful and went on and on as did the grounds. Beautifully maintained and really lovely place for us to stay for a few nights. We were a group of 30+ yr olds in couples and loved the hot tub and fire. The owner was very friendly and nothing was too much. We really appreciated that we could leave and check out day later than the other cottages we have stated at. It made all the difference. The highlights of the House were definitely the service bells and the tiny wild rabbits in the gardens. Thank you for a wonderful relaxing stay. Would definitely return.

Best accommodation I have ever stayed at. The owner is also very helpful and responded to my questions immediately. We would love to return to Glan Afon

Wonderful House For A Family Get Together

By Jill D on 28-Oct-2016

We were a family party of 13 people aged from 12 to nearly 90. The House was perfect for a get together and we have just returned from a 3 nights stay. The House is huge and interesting with exquisite gardens. The kitchen was well equipped so we cooked all our meals in the house. The kitchen was big enough for us to congregate for coffee and chats and the hot tub was a but if a treat. No wifi available on our stay which initially panicked some of the young people but they were happy to play board games, pool, talk and watch TV instead. There are beautiful views everywhere and the nearby beach was virtually deserted the days we were there. But of a scramble on the last part of the access to the beach due to what seem to be newly built storm barriers. We have thoroughly enjoyed staying at Glan Afon and would not hesitate to recommend a stay there.
