No. 5 Trelawney Court offers the ideal location for your holiday in the ever popular resort of Rock in North Cornwall. The apartment is located within easy walking distance of the village and beach, giving access to the foot ferry to Padstow and the start of the Camel Trail cycle path. Other popular beaches such as Daymer Bay and Polzeath, and the historic fishing village of Port Isaac, home of 'Doc Martin', are a short drive away. Rock itself is well served by the local shops, including a brilliant butcher and fishmonger, a well stocked Spar, delicatessen, and a fantastic bakery. The queues outside the bakery in the summer speak for themselves.

There is such a wide range of activities and places to visit in the area, you may have to come back again just to fit it all in. Locally, Rock is well known for its sailing, waterskiing and St. Enodoc golf course with its challenging championship course as well as the more forgiving Holywell course. For walkers, the coastal path from Rock takes you to Daymer Bay, Polzeath and beyond, where you can enjoy the most fabulous scenic views. Alternatively, following the white stones from St. Enodoc Golf club will take you across the course to St. Enodoc church, where poet Laureate John Betjemen is buried. The foot ferry to Padstow operates daily throughout the year. Out of season, just wave the white flag at the ferry point, and they'll come over and get you. Padstow is a classic Cornish fishing village packed with a myriad of little shops and eateries. Rick Stein's various outlets offer a dining experience to suit every pocket. Or hire a bike and follow the Camel Trail to Wadebridge, Bodmin or all the way up to Hellandbridge. In spring, the cycle path is lined with beautiful wild flowers of every description, and the views on the cycle back to Padstow across to Rock are simply breath taking.

A trip to the historic fishing village of Port Isaac is a must. Walking around the village with it's higgledy piggledy cottages tumbling down to the Platt, you should be able to spot Doc Martin's 'surgery', the 'chemist's shop' and village 'primary school' of the fictional village of Port Wenn.If you're lucky, the Fisherman's Friends, Port Isaac's very own boy band may be giving a free concert on the beach on a Friday evening.

For surfing enthusiasts, or just budding body boarders, Polzeath offers one of the area's finest surfing beaches. Alternatively, Daymer Bay is the place to take the kids for sandcastle building and shallower waters. Further afield, take a trip to the Eden Project, Tate St. Ives, or head down to the Minack Theatre and enjoy one of their many open air performances. These are just a few of the many great things to do and see on your holiday in Rock.

The pictures of this property do not do it justice. A really spacious property, even for four adults and two teenagers. Outside space is great for bbq's. A clean and comfortable base for the week and whilst the kitchen is fully equipped, the local pub ( 5 minutes walk away) does really good food.

The beach is 30 minutes walk down into Rock and Padstow a short ferry trip from Rock.

Good beaches at Rock, Polzeath and Daymar Bay.

Cycling is good if you don't mind a few hills and the Camel Trail from Padstow to Bodmin is worth a day out, and it's on the flat. Added advantage is the Camel Valley Vineyard, accessible from the trail, just outside Bodmin.

Some great restaurants around locally but booking ahead is advisable especially in high season.

Overall a great property with plenty to do close by. Would recommend to all.

Perfect Property

Wonderful house, clean and tidy and very homely. Description accurate. Parking right outside and a lovely little garden that gets the sun all day. In a great location for visiting the different Cornish towns. Good pub 2 minutes walk away and a Spar about a five minute walk. Takes about 25 minutes to walk into Rock which we did a couple of times and got the ferry to Padstow which is good fun.

Couldn't have asked for more from a holiday property and would highly recommend!

Clean, Comfortable, Spacious Apartment

Lovely apartment situated in a location which was easy to access and well situated to explore Cornwall. Listing description accurate. Close to local amenities as described including the beach.. We were well cared for by the housekeeper who ensured we had fresh linen and towels.

It was always good to return 'home' at the end of a busy day exploring and relax surrounded by all the home comforts.

We would certainly recommend the property to others and would be very happy to return ourselves.

A Lovely Spacious Apartment

We had a lovely family holiday in this apartment which was clean, spacious and well located for exploring the area. The listing description was accurate. Every room was a good size and the open plan lay out was lovely. The beds were all very comfortable which is always a big plus point. Our only comment regarding the kitchen is that we could have done with a few more mugs as we found we needed to wash mugs a lot in between using the dish washer as we ran out. Another big chopping board when cooking would also be great!

It did feel like quite a long walk from the property down to the beach and foot ferry to Padstow with a 6 year old child. I think this is because it is mostly a walk through a residential area and the pavement disappears for 1 section so it is not a particularly relaxing stroll, especially in an evening walking down to the pub with a hungry child! But this is no fault of the property and there was a good family friendly pub serving good food just up the road as you enter Rock.

All in all a lovely stay with a pleasant garden area too. We loved visiting Padstow, Port Isaac and all the local beaches. We also went to the swimming pool in Wadebridge on a rainy afternoon.

The owner communicated very well and provided excellent customer service, letting us arrive early as there were no previous guests which was very helpful. Possibly some more info about local places and some maps etc in the property would be useful as we couldn't find any. Definately recommend!

Great Holiday At A Lovely Apartment

We had a really good time on our holiday at this lovely apartment. As the description says, it is very spacious and the photos dont do it justice. It is really well equipped, the sofas were super comfortable and the whole place was very clean. The location is great for heading out to Padstow, Polzeath or further afield - we went to Mawgan Porth, only 30 mins drive away. I would highly recommened this rental if you are planning on visiting the area.
