We have just returned from Villa Elsanna after a thoroughly enjoyable holiday. The villa itself was extremely well kitted out with everything you could need and was very comfortable and spacious with lots of nice touches. We loved the heated pool and the very private outside area where the sun shone all day. Internet was very good inside and outside the villa. The villa was located on a small quiet estate. It was our first visit to Lanzarote and it certainly exceeded our expectations. It was very clean and the 15 min walk to the seafront was along a pleasant and well lit walkway. Plenty of restaurants which were good value. Communication with Bill and Liz was excellent throughout the process. They recommended Cabrera Medina for car hire and it was very good value and quality. In short we would highly recommend this villa but have only done so after booking our slot for next year. Thanks Bill and Liz for a great holiday at your villa.
We stayed at Villa Elsanna for a one week break at the beginning of October as needed some rest and relaxation and we were not disappointed. The villa is extremely comfortable and we enjoyed the pool every day as the weather was in the 30's while we were there. It is walking distance down to the harbour and then level along the front but it is quite a long uphill walk back so probably advise getting a taxi back if you have any mobility/breathing problems! Had a great Paella in restaurant Brisa Marina along the front - service was good. Market day in Puerto Calero was nice - it is not a big market but lovely for a wander and a coffee with some people watching by the marina. Also did the boat trip from there along the coast to Puerto del Carmen. This would be good if you have children as it is a glass bottom boat and they stop so you can see the fish etc. Go to Marina Rubicon if you want more upmarket restaurants - great Indian restaurant (Mumbai Masala) at the far end of the marina. The villa is close to the Timanfaya national park and other sights so having a car is useful although there are organised trips available (if you have kids don't do the Grand Tour as it is way too long a day for them to stay interested). Bill & Liz told us they hired from Cabrera Medina so we used them too collecting from the airport and were very pleased with the ease and service. All in all a wonderful week and would definitely stay here again next time in Lanzarote.
Very well equipped villa. Swimming pool was of a good size and a lovely temperature. Quiet and private location but within easy walk of all the main town facilities. Owners were very responsive and prompt in arranging the booking and with follow up queries. We had an excellent and relaxing stay and can thoroughly recommend the villa.
