Welcome to Kit's House
This comfortable and historic house beside the river has wonderful views. Relax on the terrace overlooking the water or make use of the private pontoon for boating. The property has literary associations as Kenneth Grahame, author of "Wind in the Willows" was a frequent visitor.
Built in 1805 it is half a mile upstream from the Bodinnick Ferry with access to Fowey. There you will discover the historic Old Ferry Inn which sits beside the water opposite renowned Cornish author, Daphne du Maurier's house.
Added in 1847, this self-contained wing of Kit’s House is known as Captain’s Cottage. The ground floor provides a sunny living room with comfortable sitting and dining area, woodburner and fitted kitchen to the rear.
Upstairs the front bedroom has a fine view of the river with painted panelled walls. The second bedroom has a single bed and a folding bed and is located to the rear of the house with an outlook to the garden.
