The Swiss Alps boast some of the best skiing in the world. It has fantastic resorts such as Verbier, Zermatt and St Moritz although it’s not just about the skiing. The alps has excellent hiking trails and cycling routes attracting thousands of holidaymakers. Zermatt is especially well known for its cycling trails where you can take in the stunning scenery. Its Verbier however if you want the nightlife. Verbier is situated in the canton of the Valais on the south western side of the Alps bordered by Italy to the south and France to the west. It is a high class place which has welcomed the rich and famous for many years. It is still possible however to enjoy a simple slice of pizza and mulled wine at the end of a tiresome day.
