Description

Our 3 bedroom holiday apartment is available to rent in the relaxing resort of Galé, 10 minutes drive from Albufeira on the Algarve in Portugal. It is well maintained and registered with the Local Authority. Boasting fantastic sea views, the apartment can accommodate 6/7 guests (6 adults or 6 adults and 1 child on a z-bed). It is situated in the Galé-Mar Apartments, a secure, gated complex and has a large family pool and a separate children's pool that are both set in well-tended communal gardens. If the pool is not for you, the beach is within easy walking distance, 200m away is the beautiful sandy beach of Sao Lourenco and 500m is the bigger beach of Praia Da Galé both offering beach restaurants for a spot of lunch or evening meal.

Our apartment is very well furnished and maintained to a high standard. We try and make it feel like "home from home". It is fully air-conditioned (which is serviced annually) and has free Wi-Fi and internet TV for all UK and Portuguese channels. Smoke alarms are fitted throughout the apartment for your safety. It is also registered with the Local Authority for holiday lettings.

We will be happy to answer any queries and send you our current Terms of Business. To secure a booking we require a 25% deposit and the final balance is then due 6 weeks before your arrival date. We have a very relaxed cancellation policy. Check in time is 15.30hrs on day of arrival and check out time is 10.00hrs on day of departure, but we can sometimes be flexible with this on request. Payments can be made by BACS or Cheque or PayPal.

The sleeping..........
The 3 bedroom apartment sleeps 6/7 comfortably. The master bedroom has 2 single beds with en-suite bathroom. A z-bed is available in this room for a child (up to 12 years) and a travel cot is available on request. It has patio doors leading to the balcony. The second bedroom has 2 single beds with patio doors leading to the balcony and the third bedroom has 2 single beds with patio doors leading to the balcony. All the bedrooms have views out to the ocean.

The cooking..........
The apartment has a fully fitted kitchen with dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric oven, gas hob, microwave, toaster, kettle and washing machine. All cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery are supplied together with tea towels and bin bags. Everything you need for self catering is available.

The relaxing..........
The lounge/diner boasts 3 sofas and dining table, DVD player, internet TV for all UK and Portuguese channels, free Wi-Fi, a selection of games, books and DVD's.

The views..........
Due to the proximity to the sea, the apartment has excellent sea views which are taken advantage of from alfresco dining on the balcony. The apartment has a large balcony that wraps around the whole of the apartment and has views over the communal gardens, pools and the sea and is furnished with outdoor dining table, parasol and rattan outdoor seating ideal for lounging or reading a book.

The bathrooms..........
The apartment has 2 bathrooms and an additional shower room. There is an en-suite bathroom (accessible from the master bedroom) which is fitted with bath/shower over, basin, WC, bidet and hairdryer. Accessible from the main hallway, is the main bathroom fitted with bath/shower over, basin, WC, bidet. There is also a separate shower room with shower enclosure, WC and basin located in the entrance hallway of the apartment.

The swimming and beaches..........
The apartment is 200m from Sao Lourenco beach (approx. 4 min. walk) and 500m from Galé beach (approx. 8 min. walk). There is a large communal swimming pool with diving board and children's pool. Sun loungers and parasols are available to use free of charge around the pool area. There is no lifeguard around the pool, so please supervise young children in this area. More about Galé...........
Galé is the ideal location for a peaceful and relaxed holiday. It is only 40 minutes from Faro airport. It suits families looking for a beach holiday without the hustle and bustle of busier, more commercialised resorts.

It offers some of the prettiest and secluded coves and beaches on the Algarve (Sao Lourenco, Galé beach, Sao Rafael, Castillo etc....) all Blue flag beaches, each with their own beach bars, cafes and restaurants.

The food............
500m from the apartment is the well known Apolonia supermarket, the Portuguese version of Waitrose. There is a wide choice of Portuguese foods as well as a good selection of UK products. If, however, you do not want to cook whilst on holiday, there is a good choice of restaurants within walking distance, ranging from beachfront cafes to the upmarket Michelin starred Vila Joya restaurant.

Getting around.........
It is not essential to hire a car. We can arrange a transfer for you from the airport to the apartment (extra cost). There is a bus stop outside the apartment and the taxi rank is just a 5 minute walk, so unless you are planning to do lot's of sightseeing, a car is not strictly necessary. Albufeira, with it's more lively nightlife, is only a 10 minute taxi or bus ride away. The main bus station in Albufeira links all the major resorts along the Algarve, going east or west.

The parking..........
There is plenty of free parking available in the car park outside the apartments and underground parking with one allocated space.

Out and about..........
Guia, well known as the birthplace of the famous chicken Piri-Piri and the location of Sir Cliff Richard's vineyard, is just 10 minutes away by car. Also here is the Algarve shopping complex where you can find factory outlet shops and large supermarkets. For families, various attractions such as Zoomarine and Aqualand are all approximately 15 to 20 minutes by car. Salgados golf course is very close, just 5 minutes by car. Numerous golf courses can be found close to Albufeira and Vilamoura, golfers are spoilt for choice. Birdwatchers will find plenty of interest at the nearby Salgados lagoon, including flamingos. This is easily accessible by car or by walking along a series of wooden walkways along Galé beach to Salgados.

All in all, Galé has something to offer for everyone.........

A spacious and very comfortable apartment, quiet and with beautiful views. Games and movies and all kinds of accessories for the beach. The terrace is a great place to have breakfast, dinner and lie down quietly to read a book. We have been very satisfied.
