The Urbanisation Costalita is a quiet retreat, designed by the famous Pablo Villaroel and built in the traditional Andalusian style. Situated just off the highway A-7 on what has become known as "The New Golden Mile", it is ideally positioned for travel to its many surrounding areas.

The short walk to the beach is a pleasure, winding paths lead you through wonderfully mature and lush tropical style gardens and you will pass bridges, ponds and streams that include a wealth of wildlife. The gated complex includes six communities, each with its own gardens and pool. We are the newest complex Costalita F, phase 6 with its large gardens and pool. Popular with families, couples and golfers, this tranquil area has retained its traditional Andalusian character.

We have a first floor apartment with lift and secure underground parking. The apartment is fitted out to a very high standard with many home comforts, the spacious living/dining room leads out to the terrace which overlooks the beautiful gardens and swimming pool. The two bedrooms have twin beds which can be set up as singles or super king-size 6ft. The Master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom with a fantastic shower over the bath, and a separate toilet and bidet room. The second bedroom has access to the family bathroom with shower over bath, toilet and bidet. A luxury sprung 5ft king-size sofa-bed is available in the lounge (extra linens available for a small charge).

The kitchen is generously fitted with all you need to enjoy cooking at home if you prefer, there is no shortage of pots and pans, crockery and cutlery, salad bowls, mixing bowls etc will ensure that you CAN actually use the dishwasher provided! The utility area has a washing machine and condensing dryer. Electricity is metered and a fair use is included in your booking.

Our closest neighbourhood is Cancelada, it is like a tiny village full of charm in which there are some charming places to eat. A short walk over the A-7 bridge brings you to many restaurants in both directions, there is a wide variety of International cuisine to choose from.

Along the creek that feeds Villa Padierna Lake is the Taraje Aqueduct, dating back from the 19th century and also the Cancelada Reservoir , a natural environment of great beauty and biodiversity. At Playa del Saladillo you will find an old XVI century watchtower, or Torre Lançe del Saladillo. The Luis García Cerezo Park is a great place to go for a walk and often has family activities in the summer.

Hotel Villa Padierna is very close by with its golf and other facilities and El Paraiso Golf Club is just 3km away.

Aug 2017 This is a truly excellent apartment perfect for a family or for couples. I had a relaxing 2 weeks with my children aged 8 & 6 at the end of the school holidays. The apartment is very well furnished and has much better equipment than any other place I have stayed. It was also extremely clean and organised. I have to say the wifi is a god send if you have kids. Contact with the owner was excellent as was the key exchange. I was impressed with the instructions and information on arrival really helpful and enabled a smooth start to the holiday. I think it was the outlook of this apartment that made it special, having breakfast and drinks on the balcony that overlooks amazing gardens and pool. I would recommend to anyone, and hopefully plan to go again next year. Reviewed 4 Sep 2017

Fabulous apartment

Fabulous apartment that had everything and more you would need for a self catering holiday but also numerous restaurants round costalita for those like myself who were to lazy to cook. Great communication from Helen the home owner,when like a half wit I couldn't get the ac to work. Beds where comfie, loads of storage space in rooms, apartment was on the first floor with a birds eye view of the pool, for those who are not able to mange stairs there was a lift, access to pool was a very short stroll from the apartment. Pool was lovely and not to busy, so no fight for beds, access could be gained to the beach through a walkway through the costallitas bringing you out beside pepe's and la Antigua ( way to hand for crawling home ) after a jug of sangria. Very clean apartment and would highly recommend especially with the fabulous wifi which is great when u have teenagers who cannot stay away from Facebook. Thank you Helen Reviewed 10 Jun 2017

Perfect apartement and perfect location for a relaxing and enjoyable week

The apartment was welcoming and had everything we needed. The porch has a nice view towards the pleasant pool area, and it is a short distance down to the beach. It is close to good restaurants like La Posada, El Legado and Casa Miguel. We give our best recommendations! Reviewed 6 Sep 2016
